45 Rare And Uncovering Historical Photos From a Past Era (3: 04) That photo was taken at Idlewild Airport, which is now called JFK, in 1950. That road youre looking at there is the Van Wyck Expressway (I-678, which exists to this day. People drove under this western-most taxiway (not a runway) to reach the central hub. That airplane bridge is the first ever in history. Those people are probably there as actors for the photo; there is no indication that you could stop along that area and I found no other photos of pedestrians at that bridge. That plane (N1042V) is actually found in several Pan-Am photos at the time, making me think it was some kind of marketing plane used for promotional purposes.

5: 02 The hidden-away Disabled members of the British Royal Family. As part of the thousand year long Royal Families of Europe Inbreeding Programme it is hardly surprising that this happened to the Windsors / Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Queen Elizabeth 2 and Prince Phillip were Second Cousins.

Those are not pinball machines but were gambling machine where you had to line up balls in holes to win cash prizes. They were banned due to them being an addictive form of gambling i think.

I know in our past there is a lot of pain and regret but there was also promise and kind of simplicity and in some cases, goodness. I hope that the goodness keeps shining through always.

Love it! There are so many gems captured here and the selected sound track is a perfect fit. Some things I never know existed, like a blimp that had fighter airplanes.

Nothing like a great glimpse through history to remind us where we've been, and where we need not go again. Thank you for the collection and your vision thereof!

I don't know why but seeing JFK in a photo or piece of film were he isn't doing one of historic speeches is still a bit odd.

That’s only a coaster wooden bike. No peddles or gears, or chain. For rolling down hills. Thanks St. Paul.
