1984 was the best year for music, MJ, Prince, Wham, Lionel Richie; there was one hit after another I just cant say enough about all the great songs of this year. In general, I love the 80s; best music, most memorable TV shows, amazing movies; superstars, super models, a booming economy; fancy clothes; creative hairdos, elaborate make up. It was a decade of substance and by that I mean there were real musicians, actors and movies. I feel like the future decades got lazy with everything; the arts, movie production, music creation, everything. Kids nowadays cant even form simple sentences or words. Everything is BRB, LOL, Do you want to come with? Really? You cant add an with me? Thats too much work? Come on now

AT&T decided to spin off Warner Media after a few years of ownership. Warner Media would then merge with Discovery Communications to form Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc.
Now, the biggest challenge for Warner Bros. Discovery is to curate their giant back-catalog of media, including a lot of older Warner Bros. and Hanna-Barbera cartoons and newer Cartoon Network original cartoons, something Ted Turner had success with, but now has become even bigger and more of a burden for them, considering the company now has a few more decades worth of newer original content that has been developed since Cartoon Network began in 1992.

In 1984 tabletop Battletech was born. Almost 40 years ago. And it remains about the same. It was the big guy in town in tabletop stores. It gave birth to videogames and novels. But it went under the radar in the 2000s for several reasons and it was not until 2018 that serious attempts to revive it came out and they are succeeding.
In 1984 it was just cardboard, paper and standees. Today it has nice heavy industrial sculpts and great printed components.

Wow! I didn't expect the Marvin Gaye thing to hit so hard. Maybe it got me because I remember exactly where I was when I found out AND I said the same thing you said in your script. I thought it was a bad April Fools joke. but it wasn't! He's still one of my fave artist and I have all his works on CD. Wow! That got me in the gut.

I was born in 1971 in NJ, so this is when I came of age. Rush's Grace Under Pressure came out that year, making them my favorite band of all time from then on. Everything celebrated the rise of technology and the PC. It was a great year for both music and movies and I miss it very much.

I would love to see a whole video on David the Bubble Boy My son, Josh Smith, was diagnosed with that in 1985 and was taken to one of the same rooms David lived in that November. David's mom came to visit and was very sweet.

Sammy Hagar did not replace Diamond Dave. What happened was Van Halen ceased to exist, and some utter monstrosity or a Frankenstein band started touring using it's name.
NOBODY. can replace Diamond Dave.

Hamburger is murder. Animals don't want to be eaten any more than we do. They kill you back. Both of the McDonald brothers died of heart attacks.
