In fact, some of the biggest mistakes in American history were unrelated to politics. Important and impactful gaffes can occur in any field - including science, engineering, business, and the military - and their consequences can often impact all of society. I don't agree with every part of this video. Truman did drop the bomb on Japan. But Japan still did not want to surrender until a second bomb was dropped. If you think that Japan would have surrendered with diplomacy, you don't understand the history of Japan. It took the atomic bomb to stop the war. It's hard for people to believe but the dropping of the bomb actually saved millions of lives. Millions of people would have been killed if the fighting would've continued.

0: 40 Columbus was a bungler and scam artist. To raise some money, the Vikings either guided, or lead expeditions to the Americas on behalf of the Knights Templar. The Romans had been to the Americas several times and their relics have been found all the way from Nova Scotia to Ecuador. The Phoenicians came to upper Michigan because of the pure copper. If Columbus had done his research, he could have had information on at least, some, of these voyages.

I'm glad the 3MI incident is a chapter here, though there are unfortunately many other factors that influenced the nations distrust of nuclear (most notably, crappy Soviet designs that we never came close to using here. We could be the world leader of the very low emission energy production if we trusted science and engineering over fears of things that statistically cannot happen and lack of fears of things that are for sure happening.

I grew up near three mile island and there was a lot more radiation that people were exposed to than the government would like u to know. Dairy farms had to dump a lot of milk as it had high levels of strontium 90 isotope. deformed livestock animals being born and barn cats having deformed kittens. So all lies and coverups

To call the mortgage crisis of 2008 a mistake is laughable. That was a case of gambling on manipulating the system, to enable the rich richer, and the poor poorer. It was only a matter of time for the gamble to backfire.

Curious that you included three mile island where nobody perished but not the hundred or so of other energy related disasters that have maimed and killed hundreds of people. Curious psyop you are.

1: 45 Orland Bloom was on the Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, and Pirates of the Carribean movies!
In 2003, he was on a Lord of the Rings movie AND the first Pirates of the Carribean movie!

History books also says Brasil was discovered, by this same mistake: Pedro Alvares Cabral was trying to discover, in fact, another route to India. we all know that's a lie, right

So I'm assuming since a sniper decided not to shoot George Washington because his back was turned, this critical event in history doesn't count as a mistake and not on this list

The address was added because of Columbus's 1492 voyage.

Hey, it's election season. You should do a video on the battle of Athens, TN. Shows what happens when democrats attempt tyranny on a small scale.

Columbus got lost by his own miscalculations I thought his GPS failed. LOL! But America really needs to step up its game and be better.

0: 04 That reminds me of the movie Hellraiser, where in the beginning the pieces of his face were being put together like a puzzle!
