The videos predictions are drivel because (1) it's statement the Gulf Stream is the only heat taken north is a huge lie and (2) the Gulf Stream is mostly driven by prevailing southwest winds and is only expected to reduce very slightly. The actual heats from scientists are: -
5, 000, 000 gigawatts heating is taken north by prevailing southwest winds, -
1, 000, 000 gigawatts heating is taken north by the Gulf Stream. -
So, the absolute maximum heat reduction is only 17% if the Gulf Stream stops completely. Furthermore, the Gulf Stream will never stop completely because it's mostly driven by those same prevailing southwest winds and only driven about 15% by the AMOC circulation that this video is about. So, if the AMOC stops completely then heat from the tropics will be reduced by only 15% of 17% which is a 2. 6% heat reduction with 97. 4% of the heat from the tropics still going there. It's going to minor except for Scandanavia, the only place that would get significant cooling (and they're used to cold winters anyway. It's all massively overblown as I've just proved. Most of the -special heat- is driven by the prevailing southwest winds and is only expected to reduce very slightly, and AMOC stopping would have relatively-minor-moderate-only, but noticeable, effect. It's 3 degrees colder winter southern England & Western Europe for totally no AMOC, 5 degrees colder Scandanavia. Summers continue warming. Some increase in snow pack in southern England & Western Europe, melting very fast in April/May.

The gulf stream would not be the main reason for the warming climate in western Europe compared with the same latitudes. There is a misunderstanding of the relationship between gulf streams and Europe's climate for so many years. It is because of the westerlies and the topography of the Rocky Mountains in North America. It is not possible to lead Europe to another ice/glacier period just if the gulf stream slows down in the next decades, some other studies show the slow down of the gulf stream would intensify the warming trend of global temperature by decreasing the heat and carbon exchange of heat from atmosphere to deep sea. If the gulf stream slows down, it would intensify the warming trend, cause additional heatwaves and drought in Europe, and interrupt the tropical monsoon system in amazon and eastern Africa.

I mean, Europe would definitely suffer but it wouldn-t be apocalyptic. In Spain and France, the climate would likely become much more erratic but they are at the same latitude as the Northeastern United States, so if gradual enough it won-t be devastating. Britain would at least be partially moderated by the sea, meaning it would be cooler but consistently cooler. The larger problems would be in Central and Eastern Europe, where a more continental climate will take hold and blizzards and subarctic conditions will devastate the area. In the Mediterranean, increased rainfall could also cause some severe effects.

This is litteraly a video for Americans.
1st - The Gulf Streams doesn't go through Eastern North America, it actually runs from the coast onto open ocean. That's why New York has a colder climate even than the Pacific Northwest.
2nd - If the Gulf Stream didn't exist, climate in Western Portugal would be something similar to the climate of cities such as Seattle or Vancouver. It would be colder than today's climate, but it would rain much more too and the country could actually become a new European hotspot for agriculture and wood plantations.

This is nonsense. The gulf stream will not shut down. It's caused by the prevailing winds which are in turn caused by the earth's rotation. As the earth rotates it drags the atmosphere along with the rotation. This causes the prevailing winds (that in turn rotate further north due to the coriolis effect) that move the water from the gulf right across the Atlantic.
To stop the gulf stream you would have to stop the planet rotating. Physics.
