Just by reading the comments down below, I can see why humanity has such a hard time advancing-. it-s because instead of working together to explore all options, ideas, theories, and possibilities-. we shut each other down, call each other names, and make fun of one another-- in the grand scheme of things, our ego literally means nothing-. and if we could learn to put that one thing aside, the possibilities would be endless.

Wouldn-t time dilation mean that as long as you were going fast enough, you could reach the black hole within a human lifetime (from your perspective? Sure it would still take 3000 years for anyone else, but that doesn-t really matter since your the only one in this situation.
