What If a Quasar Entered Our Solar System?

What If a Quasar Entered Our Solar System? For starters, our Solar System is nowhere near big enough to accommodate such a vast object. Secondly the light would outshine daylight itself to the point of the Sun being invisible or appearing virtually black in a blindingly bright sky (day or night.
The edge of an accretion disk would engulf the system and if it didnt incinerate us instantly it wouldnt take much longer than that.
The more likely scenario would be the Milky Way & Quasar encircling each other and due to the chaotic destructive nature of a quasar, the milky way would most likely lose way before the two collided. at which point it would lose again, followed by the Magellanic Clouds, and Andromeda (unless they preceded the Milky Ways annihilation.
And PLEASE WOULD YOU QUIT PRESENTING THEORIES AS FACT? You have no more idea when the Sun will -fizzle out- or the Milky Way collide with Andromeda as the countless other things mainstream science has been wrong about since JWT was launched alone let alone since the century of Einstein/Feynman/Hubble idolatry, that has led Cosmology & Physics up shit creek (then again, maybe that was the aim all along to keep we peasants in the dark while taxpayer funded institutions pledge knowledge hoarding fealty to wealthy elitists. Science has become an untrustworthy and unfunny joke!\r\n

Ok there is so many false stuff in this video. For one, a quasar isn't black holes colliding. A quasar is an observed galaxy in which the central black hole is accreting matter (active galactic nucleus) which is one of the brightest emissions of electromagnetic radiation (light) in the universe. These are only found very far away (thus very early in time) and is generally part of the process of galaxy formation. Quasars could be re-ignited by a galactic merger, however this isn't a cut and dry fact. Some mergers do not ignite quasars. At one point even our galaxy was a quasar.
So for a recap, a quasar is a type of galaxy in which the supermassive black hole in the center is accreting (devouring) matter which glows very bright.
Our central black hole has at times accreted matter briefly, gas clouds sometimes get too close and it intermittently (yet gently and not anywhere near quasar level) ignites, such as the cloud observations made by the ESO Very Large Telescope. However it takes a long time for the gas to actually ignite the light from when it becomes trapped in a close orbit

1st: We don't know exactly what the requirements is for a black hole to become a quasar.
2nd: We do know however that it's not simply the merger of black holes.
3th: The most accepted theory is that it requires a specific large amount of stars and gas.
4th: If a Quasar entered our solar system the loss of our atmosphere would be the least of our problems. The surface of our sun is 6000 kelvin in temperature, but its center around 15 million kelvin. Our best estimation and calculation of a quasar to date is around 10 trillion kelvin. I think it's safe to say that hiding in a freezer a couple of hundred meter under ground won't make a difference.

Sorry, but a lot of your information is wrong, it is sad to see when you have done such a great work making the video.
A quasar is not when two black holes collides. And 3: 29 the heating of earth will not happen in 3-4 billion years when the sun is going to die but in fact already in one billion years when the sun has gotten to its fully potential.
In short, will the earth be empty for the life we know it, far before the sun begins to expand.

reply

1: 01 Some quasars do contain more than 1 black hole, but this is not what defines a quasar. A quasar is simply a supermassive black hole with a lot of material accreted around it. They are usually very far away (and from a long time ago) because the early quasars ate up most of the free gas and material that feeds them.

Alternative title: What if the andromeda galaxy merged with the Milky Way galaxy?
Our Milky Way galaxy needed friends so it made friends with andromeda- Then Milky Way decided to go bye bye on other planets to stay with andromeda

reply

Fun fact:
We will likely experience such a quasar very close to us. When the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies collide in about 4, 5 billion years, the two supermassive black holes at their centres will merge and form a quasar.

reply

If a quasar is anywhere near our part of the Milky Way we are definately toast. And we would be vaporised toast before it got anywhere near the Solar System.
Luckily the nearest quasar is 2 500 000 000 light years away -

reply

Ok so I-m not sure why it was said like this but if I-m not mistake a quasar can come from any black hole big enough and with enough material. Does not require 2 black holes to collide, tho it would produce a quasar too
reply

Big quasar if super heavy black hole out of antimatter absorbs galaxy nucleos like Sagittarius A-. Neutron decay to antiproton if con, tacted with antimatter or 50% if really free.
reply

when our galaxy collided with andromeda the central black whole would be a quasar yes but all the mass around it would still be there it-ll be called a starburst galaxy

-Its a beatiful day outside.
Birds are singing
Flowers are blooming.
On days like this.
Quasars like you.
Should stay away from our solar system! -

reply

Shouldn't watch this right after watching a video on Quasars from an astrophysicist that studies the bloody things. So so so so so so so so much wrong here.
reply

Please make a video about the biggest Quasi star and the biggest black hole there collide (know this is sci-fi but i just want to learn more; )
reply

Incorrect. If a quasar laser is directly in the pass of earth or even the solar system, every plant will be obliterated in femto seconds.
reply

Imagine if what if make a new video about our universe explode we can't do any thing is to long to go out of the universe
reply

in short. ten minutes of existential dread. then you die. then Earth ceases to exist. along with the rest of the system.
reply

A quasar is a galaxy with an active supermassive black hole at it-s core. It-s not to black holes that have collided.
reply

Do not make me force into a space war! (people there knows this understands i hope so else this will explode ww)
reply

its beatiful day out side birds are chriping flowers blooming on day like these people like you will die from the sun?
reply

jezus christ that fake over-exiting American accent is horrible. Find a better narrator for the love of God
reply

If really a quasar appears in the solar system we would get killed much much before we would notice it
