Right now when we are in a period when people are debating whether or not abortion is right I could see this becoming even more important. The main argument I'm hearing pro-choice people use is woman has a right to her own body and shouldn't have to carry a child if she doesn't want to. Whereas pro-life people are saying unborn children are human beings and to have an abortion is to kill a human being. The obvious third path is a woman could choose to instead of having an abortion give up her parental rights to her child and have it removed and placed in a artificial womb and then that child could be adopted to couples that want to have a child but I'm not able to.

I doubt there would be a fight as big as you describe, because, like all technologies, progress in artificial wombs will be incremental. I doubt anyone would argue premature children should rather die than be sustained in an artificial womb. Then, it might well be used to save babies whose mothers have died, starting at a younger and younger age. As IVF grows in popularity too, at some point you would just wonder: Why implant at all?

According to the news I heard, in a few years, the artificial womb will test it first human baby subject, and then in less than ten years from now, it will be used publicly.
It does bring a lot of argument in which if we can raise the baby outside, should we abolish abortion?
What will happen to the child raised outside its mother? Will they still love their parents?

Funny how nobody notices how these things would basically make abortions superfluous, because you could simply -move the embryo to another room. eh. womb- -. And the mother could give the child up for adoption even prior to its -birth-.

I think there are social states that will be affected. Babies are developed listening to their mothers voice which causes attachment. With an artificial womb that would be removed.
