I'd theorize that if they were the size of Humans we wouldn't really be on their Menu. Why? Because have you ever heard about a mosquito stinging a similary sized animal? I'd guess the amount of Blood they need would make them Target Animals such as Elephants, Hippos, Rhinos, Giraffes etc. because the amount of blood they'd need seeing how much they swell when full would need too many Humans for us to really be viable prey.

Interesting video but kind of didn't answer too many questions. You answered why it wouldn't happen but I think in these videos you should use your imagination and tell us how fast it would fly if it was the size of a human, how strong would it be, how much blood would it be able to drink and how fast could it drain a human or cow ECT.

Pretty sure if any bug, predatory or not, was human sized, they would destroy humanity. Flies vomit literal acid. Mosquitoes could impale us, spiders are powerful, fast and amazing hunters, ants would overwhelm us in days, etc. It-d be like Australia and Ohio joined forces.

I didn't know -gallinnippers- was the actual word for those large mosquitoes; I also didn't know they would bite. I've seen plenty of large mosquitoes, but I've only been bitten by the little ones.

What I really wanted to know was how loud these things would be if they got even half as big as us. Hearing them buzz by your ear is annoying, sure, but I imagine they'd be much louder.

Insects do not have lungs but rely on oxygen passively diffusing through their small bodies. Without lungs, oxygen would not be pumped through a huge mosquito.
