You are forgetting that although the liquid methane is only half the density of water and your state that you would sink quickly, is that the moon Titan ONLY has 1/7 of the gravity of Earth. That amount of less gravity will definitely help you staying afloat in the liquid methane. Also what helps you is the dense atmosphere. It's 1. 45x times the mass of Earth and even 4 times denser than the air around us. So, does this help? Yes, it does, because if you try to peddle your way through the liquid methane you even drag yourself forward through the atmosphere itself. If you happen to have some little wings strapped on your arms you can even FLY out of the methane sea straight into the air, just because of the combination low gravity and a dense atmosphere. This place is really amazing, and gosh I wish we had a REAL photo taken from the shoreline of such a methane sea. We can only hope that the upcoming Dragonfly mission, which sadly enough will land near the equator, far from the big methane seas, can detect maybe a smaller liquid methane lake in it's vicinity. It has the camera's to give us finally an answer to this question.

I wonder if some of these missing ships at sea actually sailed into a patch of ocean with high methane concentrations and they sank like stones? How terrifying.

So you're saying we should just get someone from Finland in a speedo to test it out, as they'd probably find it to be -slightly cool-

We can use the methane on Europa to give heat and powder to a colony and use it to terraform Europa or titan since it makes green house gasses
