What If There Were an Alien Civilization on Proxima b? Im personally not really interested in alien stuff. I dont reAlly believe there are justby simple fact that i havnt seen one. I am open to the idea/concept though. there probably are out there somewhere. Our tech or their tech isnt sophisticated enough to reach each other maybe. Well at least its what i like to think sometimes even though i dont fully believe. None the less i enjoy stuff like this. After all it is what makes us human we might not accept others belief but human life is much more interesting when we open our minds to it and appreciate others ideas and beliefs instead if insisting that they are wrong and bash them for it.\r\n

This is a good video but the thinking is a bit too shallow. Why does life have to -develop- on Proxima b? What if aliens found the dark side of the planet as a good place to set up a fueling station or an outpost. There would be no native life there but it could be a station for aliens. The side facing the sun would get bathed in radiation but the other side could be made habitable. There can be intelligent life there but it may not be native to the planet.
Wouldn't we set up a post on Jupiter's moons if we could get there?

It would still take 4 years of traveling at the speed of light to get there. That's not gonna happen during my lifetime, so I couldn't care less. It's actually probably better if we don't find aliens. What if they don't like us and want to kill us and take over our planet? They might have technology thousands or even millions of years ahead of us. Maybe they sent out a signal in hopes that some idiot race will answer it. Now they know exactly where we are. I don't think we should try to answer such signals.

To ours the humans, we always put the term water & oxygen are parts to supports lifes becouse base on ours living in ours earth,
For water, i'll agree thats terms, but to put oxygen to supported some life at outer our solar system like at proxima centuary, i dont think if there have some life creatures are same with us and there maybe having some life creatures breathing on carbon monoxide or some gas are totaly deadly to us.
By the way, as open mind, I believe have some life out there

Hmmm, Interesting where the movie -_-Avatar-_- may have been getting its queues-. Whereas the LIGHTS that are observed on Proxima B, may actually be just a cluster -_(High Concentrations)_- of lights produced by/from Bioluminescent Species of some evolutionary sort that simply evolved within an ecosystem that necessitates it! -_--Liken to those here on earth--_. Let alone -_-Undisturbed-_- for eons, may have simply multiplied enough to be SEEN by the -_-WEBB-_- -

I personally think that in case they are smart, they either don't know about us and they are also trying to reach out or they know about us, but because of how we fight, kill and act, they don't plan to visit soon, if they even can. I also believe that there is definitely life somewhere in space, however I think they could be just a different species of animals, with wide pallette of colors, feather, maybe even dinosaur like. F

In fact, it was reported that more than a century ago, French explorers learned from a tribe in the Sahara, the Dogons, that in times immemorial, their oral tradition had it that some people from outer space descended upon their ancestors, enlightening them in different areas of knowledge. They left behind a star map showing the EXACT location Alpha Centaurs B, long before that map was even seen by late 20th-century scientists.

I've noticed very often that most people get hyped about extraterrestrial life. However remember what Stephen Hawking said about the subject. We don't know what the hell is out there. It gives me the creeps just to think about it. On Earth we barely can get along with each other. Let alone with who knows who or what. I think that we should take it easy while we can. Stop being so optimistic about finding life out of this planet.

I'm a space guy and like 5 days ago a was reading a famous space scienctist book so on page 67 he wrote 'we have always tried to forgot that of aliens do infact are 10000 years older then us then wouldn't it be easy for them to make a protective/nonseable sheet of element' I did edit it bit there was some stuff that was totally not related to the shield/nonsee thing
So by nonseeable I mean u can't see the inside of planet

Hey hey damm it - you cannot be giving away the secret location of where I go late nights when I leave the house when I told my wife I got abducted by aliens she did not believe me I went to proxima B and let me tell you they have some of the best damn beer in the galaxy from what I know of better than Earth's the ppl are nice - a little warm but nice planet so what if don't be spilling the beans --

-Fun- Fact: James Webb discovered city lights on Proxima B. I've researched it, and the minimum year they can be in right now is 1646, when city lights were first invented on Earth. They were brought into mainland Europe in the early 1700s, and most images of the planet's city lights make them look small, which leads me to believe that their tech is somewhere between the late 1600s to early 1700s.

Probberly there wont be intelligent aliens.
Why?
If they have to survive in the terminator zone (if they similar to uss)its a small strip of land where you they all have to live and evolve.
Food deseases ect would probberly have whiped them out.
Also if they are a class 2 civ.
Dont you think they would let there planet rotate so there whole planet would be livable.

What if the moon was habitable and had people on it?
Imagine:
How our mythology would be different?
Would we see them as the Gods above?
When telescopes became a thing would people looked up and saw people looking back?
Conceivably we would of had first contact in the 1970-s. How would that have gone?
Contrarily, how would their culture have developed?

reply

Lets not forget Alpha and Beta Centuari they are companions to Proxima. So there could be other habitable planets. Aliens could just terraform Proxima B to suit what they need, like fly to Earth and bring back some plants. Now I heard that Proxima B could be in a 3/2 orbit like Mercury. But have not heard an update on which way they are leaning.

Yes and our citizens are not told of these daily excursions there.
Daily! When you ask what happened to the Mass of the wTC n11.
Same tech being used!
Guess what the radiological signature is of that stuff (6days)
Guess how long those crazy black clothed people kept first responders from reaching the small rubble pile.
Yes!

If there is life there than I cant claim my 100 acres I purchased back in mid 70s, that would be a buzz kill. The JWT discovered that the lights are on so I'm not surprised that there is life on this system and probably scattered throughout the galaxy.
reply

Life exists in many other places in the universe. there could be life as we know it, maybe not more advanced than us, humans like us but still discovering gunpowder, maybe we are the adanced civilization
reply

project breakthrough starshot if it works would only be a 20 year journey, and then there is the alcubierre drive initiative.
we're getting closer to becoming an interstellar species.

If that signal was originated in 2016 then the signal would take 4 years due to signals travelling at the speed of light then it would most likely be aliens trying to contact us
reply

Whos here now that is been all but confirmed that an proxima b not only has a civilization but it-s probably much more advanced than ares, in atleast some or most metrics
reply

Aliens from proxima b are probably trying to go to our planet and saying its more habitable since there are no coronal mass ejections and maybe calling it solar c
reply

Sadly this earth like is tidally Locked which means the other side of the planet is an never ending day or night
So it's hard to tell if there's even life there

reply

Actually we're considered a type 0 on that scale. A type one would have mastered wind, hydroelectric and other types of power. We're not even close to that.
reply

If it was an alien civilization that was transmitting radio signals then why don't they repeat. Maybe they weren't trying to communicate with us.
reply

The people living in Alpha Centauri came from Earth, the last ones to leave was 12500 years ago before the flood and the sinking of Atlantis.
reply

If a advanced alien civlisation around Type 1 to Type 2. why the hell are they still using radio tech to send signals why not lasers?
reply

And would take 70000 years based on the speed of our fastest rockets. A waste of time and money which could be better spent on earth.
reply

It seems unlikely that they would enslave us. If they were advanced enough to travel here for a visit, they probably wouldn't need slaves.
reply

I wonder after evolving to handle such radiation if there would be a certain amount of radiation their bodies would need to function.
