No one ever talks about what happens if you put an ice cube in a glass of water. The water is displaced. Now let's say the ice cube melts. Does the water overflow out of the glass? No it doesn't. The answer to the even displacement is also the answer to what happens if all the world's ice melts. Water levels May rise a little tiny bit but not by much. Not enough to cause the continents to sink or even cities near the coast to sink underwater. The ocean level may rise by a little tiny bit but it would not cause mass extinction. Just saying. Research why Frozen ice is evenly displaced too non frozen water even though most things when they freeze become much more dense and if thawed would release much more liquid and volume then what is frozen into a small area. But not water. Just being accurate is all. Edit: some may argue that my argument only works for ice already floating on water. Not ice that's frozen on land. Okay where is most of the ice? It's in the Frozen North Pole which is technically floating on the ocean. If all the rest of the ice melted? It would be enough water to maybe evaporate and create cumulonimbus clouds all over the Earth that would cause some rain. Raise water levels a little. That's about it. The devastating 180 ft that ocean levels would rise would only be caused if the entire North Pole melted. And like I said that water is evenly displaced. Have ocean levels already risen at all from melting ice? Think about how much ice is actually melted already from global warming. Literally the ice sheets around the poles have receded so much there's some scientists say that polar bears and such polar animals are nearing Extinction from losing their habitat which they basically live on the ice sheets and go fishing and there are barely any ice sheets anymore. Have the water levels risen so the beaches don't exist anymore and cities near the coast are near underwater? At all? Even slightly noticeable by a few inches. I don't think so

If all the world's ice melted, it would have a catastrophic impact on the planet and humanity. The melting of ice sheets and glaciers would cause a significant rise in sea levels, flooding coastal cities and low-lying areas, and displacing millions of people. The loss of ice would also have a significant effect on weather patterns and ocean currents, leading to changes in precipitation and temperature, and affecting the global climate. The reduction of sea ice in polar regions would also have impacts on local ecosystems, disrupting the food chain and endangering animals that rely on ice for survival. Melting of permafrost in Arctic regions would also release huge amounts of methane, a greenhouse gas that would further exacerbate global warming. The melting of ice in high mountain areas would also affect water supplies for billions of people, altering river flows and reducing water availability. The melting of ice in Antarctica and Greenland alone would cause sea levels to rise by around 65 meters (213 ft, which would be devastating for human populations.

Do a simple experiment at home.
You need a mini-refrigerator without self defrosting function.
Wait till the freezer part forms a think sheet of ice.
Place some abandoned books surrounding the fridge.
Open the fridge's door and defrost.
After the defrosting process, you will notice that all the books in the vicinity will be wet. The areas up to 1. 5 meter radius from the fridge will also be soaked.
You will have lots of cleaning to do!
That's how much mess can be created when just a sheet of ice melts!

It's because of imperialist western forces' world war 1 and 2 mass production. They irreparably damaged the Earth's atmosphere and carbon emission is at an irreversible level. We will all die, suffer more lung and skin cancer, have lesser levels of quality of life because of them and their unending greed.

How would sea level change if all glaciers melted?
There is still some uncertainty about the full volume of glaciers and ice caps on Earth, but if all of them were to melt, global sea level would rise approximately 70 meters (approximately 230 feet, flooding every coastal city on the planet.

Not to mention thousands of diseases that are hundreds of thousands of years old that are frozen in the glaciers at Antarctica would all be released into the worlds water. Some of the diseases are worthy to start an apocalypse.

Couldn't control getting to this point. a joke to say the least. The end is fast approaching.

If the ice melted wouldn't that just mean a strong variation of temperature hence loads of this water would evaporate anyways?

The heat cycle of the ocean would stop and we would head into an ice age where upon the water would all freeze again.

Well water level rise as long as there is ice to melt but then will decrease rapidly when there's no ice left

Ice don't melt immediately, so we actually see water level rising and flooding or sinking in some places.
