What If the Earth Was Always Facing the Sun?

A scorching hot never-ending day on one side and a permanent frozen night on the other. This is what our planet would be like if it was tidally locked to the Sun. How would your life be different on this Earth? Where would you actually be able to survive? And what would happen to your sense of time?

If the Earth were always facing the Sun, the side facing the Sun would experience constant daylight, while the side facing away from the Sun would experience constant darkness. This would have a major impact on the planet's climate and weather patterns, as well as on the distribution of life.
The side facing the Sun would experience extreme heat and arid conditions, making it uninhabitable for most forms of life. On the other side, it would be extremely cold and dark, which would also make it difficult for life to survive.
The lack of a regular day-night cycle would also disrupt the natural rhythms of plants and animals, as well as the weather patterns that depend on the temperature differences between the day and night side. This would likely lead to a collapse of the planet's ecosystem.
Additionally, the lack of rotation would prevent the atmosphere from circulating, leading to a buildup of greenhouse gases on the sunny side and a severe lack of it on the dark side, resulting in a runaway greenhouse effect on the sunny side and a permanent ice age on the dark side.
In summary, if the Earth were always facing the Sun, it would be a vastly different and uninhabitable planet.

I have a crazy idea:
What if all Celestial Bodies had a mind of their own, what if they could come to Earth disguised as humans and live among us secretly?
Imagine them getting all together for a reunion to talk about us-
Or you accidentally bumping into someone not knowing that you just bumped into an human version of the Earth itself.

Do a spin-off of this- would we still have seasons if Earth was tidally locked? The 23 degree angle of earth has to come into play. Cuz ya know, 8: 30 in summer is bright with sunlight, but 5: 00 in winter is dark. And, earth would still be going around the sun, with its axis tilt.

what if we built a transparent structure around the solar panels so the solar panels could still receive sunlight but had a ac unit installed on the inside to keep them cool so they wouldn't melt due to High temperature

1-What if the world starts producing cars that uses water instead of fuel.
2-What if the whole world start using the same currency.
(Ur biggest fun from Uganda, thanks a lot)

Isnt that simple, human will be condensed in border between light side and darkside (forever sunrise and sunset, for example in newyork at 5: 00 pm and shanghai at 6: 00 am

What if a virus was spread by speaking a language?
There is a movie called Pontypool where a virus spreads through speaking and understanding the English language

Looking at hurricane tornados and tsunamis just freak me out and p. s I think flood will hit me next and buy the way wha if there was a natural disaster

Actually earth changes to the another line then it gets winter but if it goes close to the another line of the sun then it would be summer or spring
reply

Might be posibile if YOU had two or there suns like Jupiter, Saturn or other planeta get more matter and turn into mini-suns.
Or the Earth be flat.

reply

I believe that the rotation of the earth is the cause of the extreme storms. So if we were tidal locked, I don't think the wind would be as strong.

Soo why everything doesn-t freeze at night, or burn up in the sun now! I think you-re jus being extremely extra wit this one-.

Is this assuming our current earth suddenly lost its angular momentum? It seems to be based on that premise, but is unclear.

Suggestion: what if our sun is the size of the smallest star in universe: -) i wish u pick this too like the top comment
reply

The entire earth would still be in the habitable zone though so you could still live on either side and be just fine.
reply

suggestion, what if everyone in the world (that has available running water faucets) turned on their water for 10 seconds

I like the quality, images, ideas to make videos (a few videos because as we can see, some videos are so crazy) etc
reply

Umm u wont see the stars again if its day. But the Moon can still be seen, as long as it still orbits the Earth
reply

the earth is flat and stationary not a ball the sun is small and close and not a ball of fire case closed

Definitely thought of the scene in -Chronicles of Riddick- where they have to run for it on Crematoria.
