As time went on, they eventually went extinct, and then dinosaurs entered the scene. But what if that never happened What if these giant scorpions, worms and dragonflies were still around today And how did they go extinct in the first place 00: 00 What If The Giant Insects Never Went Extinct 00: 40 Griffenflies had wingspans up to 70 cm and spiny legs for catching prey. 05: 48 Island isolation as a survival strategy for giant insects like the Weta in New Zealand. 08: 53 Evolved giant insects coexisting with humans in modern day 09: 33 Eventual avoidance between giant insects and humans as evolution progresses Get the What if book: Join this channel to get access to perks: Interested in sponsoring our episodes or collaborating Email us: contactunderknown. com Our other channels: How to Survive: Aperture: T-shirts and merch: Newsletter: What If elsewhere: Discord: Whatsapp: Instagram: Twitter: Facebook: Produced with love by Underknown in Toronto: #whatifscenario #insects #giantinsects

right lets get the science right, there is nothing we can do to stop climate change, the climate changing as a natural process that has gone on throughout the history of this planet, it will continue until there is no atmosphere left, the question is what causes climate change and is Co2 one of the primary causes, the actual answer is no it isnt, the temperature has been higher on this planet when we were not poluting it and long before human Co2 output reach the levels of the industrial revolution, if you look at the ice cores taken over recent years, we can tell what the average temp was when the ice was created, take a look over the last 1000 years and we are just starting to warm up after a lomg cooling period, we have actually only just started the climb back up to where the temps were during the time of ancient egypt and the roman empire.
the truth about Co2 which is unconfortable for the scientists to talk about is that Co2 is actually the gas of life, we need it to survive, the Co2 content is only 0. 04% of the total atmosphere, if it drops to below 0. 02% then all plants die, the food chain dies and we die along with it, the truth is we need more Co2 in the atmosphere not less, so that we can have more plants grow and create more oxygen, why do we need this because the oxygen content of our atmosphere has been dropping, no oxygen = no us, we need to actually increase Co2 to increase the oxygen content so we can actually be healthier, ever wonder why the hospital likes you to recieve oxygen turns out we evolved to live in a thicker oxygen rich atmosphere, the oxygen content has actually gone down by 35% from when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and we should be concerned about that, there is a point, a tipping point that once reached, nothing we can do will prevent the oxygen content from our atmosphere disappearing completely, clcimate change is a political ideology not a scientific one, more and more scientists are coming forward trying to get the word out, but the political climate change machine cancels them, brands them ridiculous names to discredit them, even when they produce the actual facts and science, stop buying into the media BS about the climate change issue, its all about taxing you out of more money nothing more.

Thanks! This is exactly the kind of thing I asked last week for you to do more of. not What if our world suddenly changed in a massive way but What if things had always been how they'd need to be in order to end up in a different type of world Pretty much any big change, no matter what it is, will be a catastrophe, because we and our ecosystem have evolved gradually to deal with the world as it is. In a sudden-change story, it's changing much faster than anything can re-adapt to the new configuration. so none of us will be in good shape with the new arrangement.
But in stories like this, which posit a world that evolved in a different way all along, there's no sudden catastrophe and we can actually discuss what differences would exist. This one got really interesting; thank you!
BTW, I agree that we would definitely eat giant bugs if they still existed. We already eat crustaceans and think they're delicacies, and they're just oceanic giant bugs! The insects evolved from the crustaceans.

No matter if humans are here on not the plant WILL heat up it’s just a cycle that earth goes thru like the has done many times before. Climate changanites just use it to make money. There is nothing we could do to stop the change.

2: 03 The answer lies in the weather the earth was having.
No, no, no! Weather and climate are not the same. You of all people should know that. Weather doesn't change oxygen levels.
