What do you have against the Star Wars prequels and Oz the Great and Powerful! I don't agree with this one, dude, sorry. If you were a true nerd, you WOULD want to know those details. I mean, they aren't really necessary, but I liked them! Are you SERIOUSLY complaining about them just deciding to make prequels? It sounds as though this Dracula movie is just a prequel and does nothing wrong really. If they give 1 origin story and go back & make a new one later, then yeah, that is dumb. Video games do that a lot, and it is ridiculous.

I for one enjoyed the movie, however I will admit it had a few problems for me. First one is, that in my opinion, the action scenes were shot way too close. Second, we already know what is going to happen later in the film the second he turns into a vampire. Third, they don't explain his powers well enough, those of you who have seen the end of the movie know what I'm talking about. Finally, they are sequel baiting us again. How about a stand alone movie Hollywood, is that too much to ask.

Favorite monster movie: The Three Stooges' -We Want Our Mummy-.
Least favorite origin story: The A-Team movie. The -whole- A-Team movie. I wouldn't have minded so much if they'd added a crap-ton more of ham and cheese to the picture, but no, gotta go for the gritty realism aspect.
Because when I think -The A-Team-, impractical guns, completely bloodless fights, cars flipping for entirely BS reasons and passengers of said cars climbing out of them unscathed NEVER enters my thoughts.

I get the feeling if he was JUST struck by lightning or bathed in chemicals, somehow people would question how he survived. Even more so than they are now, with both. Because if it's not over-kill, people tend to question it more. Like, superman has all these powers, it can be considered over-kill, yet who out there has wondered this for a long time; how does he fly?

-My latest foe is the new film Dracula Untold, which takes Bram Stoker's book & a few scraps of Slavic folklore, & whips it all into a frothy, hundred-million dollar blockbuster- Dude, Chris Baker, not even. the budget is SEVENTY million, so please, do just a TIIINY pinch of research before whatever rant comes next.

seriously, am I the only one who doesn't mind the prequels? Yes, I admit the Phantom Menace had its problem, Attack of the Clones had acting problems, and Revenge of the Sith. I don't know what is your deal with that one. But if you get past those problems, they will be quite enjoyable, if you turn your brain off.

TBH the intro to Van Helsing 2004 is one of my favorites(I know why people don't like the movie overall) but the plot and the Monster action can not be copied by any film to date.
That movies Dracula(Richard Roxburgh ) was amazing (He was evil scary and demonic like a villain is supposed to be)

OK you're pretty much crossing the line with the first 3 Star Wars movies. I say if you can't learn to appreciate the first 3 then you're not a real fan like I am and yeah I said it. I understand that most fans didn't like it so much but at least an effort was put forward and they tried

Well I like knowing the history behind things so I love the prequel trilogy. And guess what? This movie is the best vampire movie to have come out in the past decade, and it had an actually better love story than Twilight. without needing to be a meme.

Angry Nerd: -Dracula Untold- was a great movie. It simply explained how Vlad the Impaler became a vampire, since Bram Stoker based Dracula off of him. And usually, these origin stories are what people usually love
