Some big things are coming in 2017. WIRED predicts what'll happen with drones, VR, climate change and transport this year J. : People who make claims like -your rolling castle is going to come crashing down- are disturbingly sheltered. Ride sharing and self driving cars will be great for those who live inside giant cities and can afford it, but low income inner city people and the 65% of Americans who live outside of the big cities will not be a part of that nonsense. Most Americans truly need to own their own cars and cannot live without them. That independence feels good, yes, and prevents one from being a slave to the system's schedule (bus schedules, inflated Uber rates, racist taxi drivers, etc, but it's also necessary in so, so many ways, including many jobs that require the individual to own their own car. I'm a leftist liberal myself, but please get your heads out of your sheltered, privileged, pampered asses, and realize that your perspective is not taking in the bigger picture.

Slightly pedantic, you can't fight climate change without guided geoengineering, the current one is unguided. The most we can do at the moment is to minimize the severity of it by reducing green house gas emissions to zero sooner rather than later.

I like some of the content, but those guys are creepy in some way, that makes me like this stuff somewhat less. And goooood their awful puns in the ent of each story.

Everybody is pissed about the god talk, but I'm more disturbed by Spitty Mc Lispy's struggle to speak without drooling directly onto the camera lens.

short story long: the future is all about drones, pew pew, robots and most importantly nothing will stay the same.
