Regarding your comment on Wacom displays, and how the Surface Studio would be better I have doubts. A 22 inch HD touch and pen display is $2000. A Surface Pro 4 i5, 256GB storage, 8Gb Ram is $1, 100. 00. Thats $3, 100 for the best of both worlds. A mobile tablet, desktop and laptop replacement, and a fantastic pen display that makes your surface a studio. Yes wacom still has a better pen than microsoft, not by much, but still does. And wacom screens can be used on any PC. Even an $800 laptop or self built PC. I only say this because it annoys me that Microsoft takes so long to create a product. Their Surface screens are coming at some point. In the meantime I'll have to order from wacom. Also, wacom now has 13inch and 16 inch pen displays that are excellent options at lower prices. By the way, Nice Video!

32 gigs of ram isn't crazy, especially for a $4200 machine, it's actually quite low for that price, 8 gigs in a $3000 machine is unacceptable.
I think the majority of people willing to spend this kind of money on a work PC would scoff at the specifications. Unless your argument is it is a single-purpose machine only for drawing.
I personally buy a PC because it's not single-purpose and will spec it according to my maximum requirements, then I can use it for any task I want.
This should have been sold as a monitor with Windows integration instead of an AIO that is an overpriced, underpowered piece of shit.

- Overpriced
- Underpowered (especially for that kind of price tag)
- Can not be upgraded, at all
- For something they hail as -studio-, the drawing capability is seriously lacking
- Not enough I/O port, if you want to compete with Apple, make sure not to copy down to their flaws
.
But yeah, the heaviest blow to Studio would be the price. It's Surface first generation all over again. still don't know which way to go, try being too many without being anything. overpriced and underpowered. perhaps it will get better at fourth generation of studio. just like surface did.

This is not ment for gaming or anything like that. It's ment for creators not normal people. Before this creators buy the huge super expensive new Wacom tablet buying and a mac and it's way more expensive than this and it has a better monitor which creators love and it's all in one unlike when they need to plug and unplug there tablets and mess with a bunch of cords. If your in the creative feld 100% this is the best computer for you if your just a normal person don't buy this.

So in the pinnacle of human technology and innovation, we finally found a way to not run No Man's Sky with over 15fps with a 3000 USD desktop. Well done, microsoft!
Seriously, i'm all in for the technology, and it looks cool too, a nice concept. But damn, talk about overpriced low-end hardware. and actually, an i5 and 8gb of RAM are almost useless for someone who does this kind of work (video editing, as an example. Strange move by MS.

Wow, a positive Microsoft video from Wired. I understand the comments about the graphic card not being powerful enough to run ultra high settings in a game, but that's not what it's meant for. I'm sure gen 2 of the Studio will address this. I really want one just for the screen. Really, I just want that screen! It's the same resolution as 4 4K screens! I doubt any computer could really take full advantage of that resolution right now.

seriously gaming? don't talk about games on it when it was built specifically for a reason. desiging/drawing. honestly a horrible review of a product. this guy clearly doesn't know what he is reviewing, rather he is commenting on the machine like it was made for games or general use for the public.

FYI, the hinge does not -hold the display up steadily- if you actually use it the way you might use a drafting table-i. e, leaning on it -at all-. It always collapses all the way to the 20-degree minimum.
Also, the Surface Dial is a solution in search of a problem.

Holy shit this review is cancer. Its like wired tested everybody in the office to see who had the least knowledge of computers and choose this twat to do the review. I honestly cant tell if he's an idiot, or if he thinks the audience is retarded so he acts condescending.
