Google Pixel 2 Review: Why You Can't Buy a Better Android Phone

In almost every way, the Pixel 2 is the iPhone of Android phones, says WIRED's David Pierce. And that's a compliment. Google's back with Pixel. Actually two: the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL. The Pixel 2 has a 5-inch screen, the XL is an inch larger. Otherwise, the two models match in virtually every way. They're refined, improved versions of last year's models, adding a few features and removing a few as well. (Bye bye, headphone jack) The selling points remain the same, though: Google's betting that the latest and greatest in Android, an even better Assistant, and the best phone camera Mountain View can muster are enough to take on the best of 2017's smartphone bunch

Oh come on! Seriously? If this is a, sponsored video you should make it clear. It looks cheap and feels cheap because it is cheap. Just like the cheap LG pOLED on the Pixel 2 XL, with its inconsistent colour temperature and blotches and the better but very old generation Samsung Amoled on the Pixel 2. The phones look like obscure Chinese cheap brand phones. I wasn't a bit surprised that jerryrigeverything could crack the frame with just a little bit of pressure. It's pure shite. Tell the truth!

I can't buy better android phone?
How about S8: better screen, 3. 5mm jack, SD card slot, wireless charging and it doesn't break when you bend it.
Or LG V30: same shitty screen like pixel XL, best audio ever on a phone from 3. 5mm, SD card slot and wireless charging.
Its simple like iPhone? Then go buy iPhone it will be better if you want simple phone for taking ugly selfies.
This is not a review, this is a commercial.

This review is so jumbled. I honestly can't even tell if he likes the phone or not. Only thing I got out of it was selfie, first to new software, selfie, not good pressure sensing sides, selfie, good to be first, selfie, not as pretty as S8, selfie, fast processor, selfie, no headphone jack. He just jumbles the pros and cons together. There is no flow in the review. Also, what' with the same selfie footage.

Phones still need a headphone jack. I don't like Bluetooth headset at all. You have 2 keep charging them. It's a waste of money. iPhone got rid of their headphone jack to force people to buy apple wireless headphones. Then the Pixel copies iPhone and then get rid of the sd slot, why? I'm sticking with the note 8. It's not a perfect phone but it's the best complete phone on the market.

-the iPhone for Androids- that literally makes no sense as Apple is the only company that makes phones for IOS. So Apple is technically the best and worst company at making phones for IOS. There are so many phones that use the Android operating system that the comparison makes no sense. There is no competition for a better IOS device

Hi there, I love the camera, but sometimes the blurring effect in portrait mode is not even, uniform, and it leaves areas of the background in sharp focus. I don't know why the algorithm fails, maybe due to lightning conditions or linear patterns, etc. I hope they fix it soon.

More than half way in and haven't heard a word about why you can't buy a better Android. Think about learning how to name your videos so the title reflects the primary content. It's a simple idea, and when you get down to it, it's pretty much the whole purpose of a title.

I have a Pixel 2, and I can say that most of what he says is true. It's like a mix between Samsung and Apple, but with more easy AI, hardware and software. Plus it comes at half the cost, so I would definitely recommend.

I haven't had a problem with the squeezing feature. Had it a couple months, think I've only had it activate accidentally once. Doesn't take too much to active either. Guess I picked the sweet spot right off the bat.

Yeah it does everything a high-end smartphone should. like not include an sd card, no headphone jack, no wireless charging, has poor build quality, a plastic coating, and a high price.
