Ofcourse! Actors never -EVER- play anything that looks realistic, and that's because the audience is not interested in reality. The audience has an image in their minds of what a character should be like, and the actor has to play something that looks like that.
But that also means that, all the pretentious bullpoop aside; Sirkis has no standard to live up to. He plays creatures that don't exist so nobody can ever tell him he got it wrong.
Sirkis' only merit is that he puts up with the motion-capture suits. other than that he's just another actor.

I want to meet him but people are saying he-s a rude person. I-ve also heard people say he-s lovely. Has anyone here met him and he-s a kind person? I understand people being annoyed about his comments, and I-m not saying he can do no wrong, but some animators make it out like he-s the devil himself. I-m not sure now -
