Frankenstein science what is the goal and point of any of this? When science experiments to try to play GOD it-s time to cut the funding. We American-s would just like to be born and live a happy life with what God put on the earth. Stop trying to justify the fake degrees to make yourselves seem smarter than the average person. SICK

Wait, you guys had the chance to do an experiment like this and you didn't have the twins follow the exact same diet? That throws a HUGE variable into the mix. How in the world could you NOT have them follow the same diet and still call this a viable experiment?
reply

Maybe it's because of temperature, wherein space is like refregirator since it does not receive sunlight than earth does which preserve the human body. While Earth is more exposed to sun which can increase reaction rate and decomposition

3: 40 What is going on here? I'm sure that animation is meant to depict a chromosome with telomeres on the tips, but that has almost no resemblance to the structure of a chromosome. It bears closer resemblance to a double helix of DNA.

haha how much money and time went into this study? i figured it out at a glance, moustaches cannot grow in space, UR WELCOME NASA
(somebody should inform Chris Hadfield tho)

I don't have a twin brother but hey, I can pretend. I'm also willing to relocate to space for the new job if necessary. Will not pay moving fees however.

ngl I was waiting for the time dilation effect on the twins where one will be younger than the other and I am disappointed by the lack of it
reply

Probably only happened in Germany, in mid 1940s, relative to the astronaut activity or capabilities or terminology of the time. Just saying.
reply

This is very interesting! I first heard of this study when he first went into space, and I'm now glad that I can hear the results.
reply

Wait, you are telling me the astronaut on earth didn't follow the same diet as his brother? What a letdown, then what is the point.
