I know exactly what that person meant about recording. It's not about the recording sounding different than what I perceive when I am singing, it's that I can actually feel and hear (in the moment) the difference in my voice when I'm recording versus when I'm not recording. I would have to say it's probably nerves, meaning maybe you get more tense because you feel like it has to be perfect. I think that is my issue.

I agree with Kelly on building a thicker skin when coming into social platforms or just anything creative in general. It-s tough making it in any industry no matter what age you are. As long as you keep working and fighting for it and know the awareness about it, you-ll have a positive outlook on it.

After people told me I sang too low, I watched and listened people sing high like Mendes, Groban, Jordan Smith, so that definitely helped my singing so I agree with them.
Also, I think I'm the 700th comment.

As a neuropsychologist I can say, that playing guitar while watching TV has nothing to do with your left and right hemisphere splitting up. - But if it helps you, to think of it that way, it's a nice image. -

Wow, Nick is honestly so smart! I would've never thought of watching TV while playing my bass guitar. Because I can't sing and play instruments at the same time to save my life!

I love everything they said but -4: 30 really got me. Learned techniques growing up but now is more into feeling and passion. Thanks Kelly! And Nick's answer is kinda similar too.

Wow! Nick is spot on! In the past when I-ve taught guitar that-s what I-ve told students to do to practice changing chords. It works great!
