Gavin HATES when people slow down a video with a normal frame rate and call is slow motion! But, well, I already know he's really good at being professional when he wants to. I can still tell he's struggling though hahaha

You can almost do everything with a phone now, I mean most come standard at 1000fps and then you can just take that file and slow it down in editting later which with 1000fps you won't notice the jump between frames as much. I think you could achieve about 3000fps or so with that method and keep it looking nice.

For the bird thing I used to actually do that a lot I would just sit there as still as I could out in the front yard with a bunch of bird seed in my hands and the birds were just come right out and land on my hands the probably 20 minutes until the first one showed up but then again I was right next to a bird feeder

black-capped chickadees (the bird one) are pretty friendly/sociable. 4th or 5th grade trip to a nature park type thing, bunch of us (classmates) fed chickadees like this. they will land on hands, or hats. you do have to be still for a little bit, but not overly long time

This is what I love about RT stuff (even though this isn't technically RT. Everyone there acts like an idiot for fun, but they do it so well because they are really, really intelligent and highly skilled at what they're doing. It's amazing

I had a huge flock of sparrows trained to come when I whistled. I worked at a riverfront park and trained them with peanut butter crackers. When I walked around sometimes I'd have a cloud of birds all around me.

The shutter speeds required for super slow mo are ridiculous. How they make it look good in various settings in the context of a movie is amazing. I'm sure there's a lot to it I don't understand though.

Glass cracks at the speed of sound of glass. Which for a solid material is pretty high.
Reasonable bullet speed: 1200 m/s. Speed of sound in glass: -4500 m/s. 3. 75 times faster.
