Secret Service agent Jerry Parr was inspired to join after watching the film Code of the Secret Service, starring relatively low-profile actor Ronald Reagan.
In 1981, someone shot the President and Agent Parr shoved him into the Presidential limousine, then directed the vehicle to a nearby hospital, saving the President's life.
The President turned out to be none other than Ronald Reagan.

I wonder what tests they do to determine that the agent is going to be willing, without a doubt to put themselves protected and the threat. It's just so counter intuitive to try and take the shot when there are shootings going on. I mean it's one thing to think and believe it yourself then to actually don't in the moment without any hesitation.

Thumbs up for the cia guy! I love how he explained things and examined him. Although you can tell he means business, you can also see the sincerity in his voice and the appreciation and the honor he had to protect people, not just important ones. You have to be selfless to do that. Thank you fir making me want to be a better person!

Thank you for being a protection for the United States. Without you, we'd have an open space that could disable us in minutes. I don't want to live in a country that isn't protected. I want to live in a country that protects itself and I believe I do. Again, thank you.

In Bosnia we have 3 -presidents- for political reasons, and I have seen these presidents multiple times in public, such as the old town which is a tourist attraction, with only 3 other people whom I assume are body guards.

If you have a background in military and/or law enforcement you can see that that secret service has just been lucky. Every time he points out all the precautions or great job they are doing you're spotting their failures.

Most of these Secret Agents are good at what they do and can counteract within a split second. The fact some of these Agent's served with the Joinst Special Operational Command. For example DEVGRU, Delta, Rangers, etc.
