This video shows what is going wrong in the Kennel Club: dogs who should be disqualified win the prices. A judge can disqualify a dog if he can't judge him because of manipulation on the dog.
But they let pass prozedures like ear- and tailclipping, overgrooming and forcibly holding the dog in a specific position in the ring (like holding the head up, pulling them into position with immense pressure on the leash - a positive exception is the picture of the trained Samoyed standing still and calmly looking at her owner.
Especially dogs who can obviously barely breath or walk should be disqualified. This is not only to blame to the breeding standards, but also to the judging. Everyone in the chain should do better: the clubs need to specify the standards, the judges only award (at least seemingly) healthy dogs as winners, breeders be more responsible about the health issues, working more transparent and connected, and all dog owners should take more consideration into which dog to buy and stay connected with the breeders and the club, so they can inform them about upcoming issues.
Seeing how this Lady mocks dogs who are bred to not beeing able to walk properly or look -cute- because their nose is smashed into their face by ruined genetics horrifies me.
There are responsible dog breeders in this world, but they are obviously hard to find in a club with such -professionals-.

That-s all you say about Shih Tzus? -They can have short hair or long hair- that-s basic logic for most things. Shih Tzus are wonderful dogs, there name means -Chinese Lion Dog-. Shih Tzus are one of the most superior companion dogs imaginable. Shih Tzus are significantly more intelligent then Dolphins. They are perfect pets for senior citizens because of there heartwarming nature. They are excellent alert dogs. The Shih Tzu as it may lack in size has advanced situational awareness and will alert you to any suspicious noise. Shih Tzus traditionally have a soft interior coat of fur and a longer and course outer layer of hair. Shih Tzus can reach a top speed of 6 mph on land. Shih Tzus can also detect seizures in people. In this writers opinion it is truly the greatest breed.

Dudes and dudettes. What were you expecting? OFC they're not -EXPLAINED- but barely named and with a few characteristics. If she went on about each bread, the video would be a few days long. You also could pick up on the type of video this is, why would you expect -your- breed would be explained in depth? o. 0

i had gotten a german shorthaired pointer for my 7th birthday and he was the smartest dog I had ever met. he passed away suddenly right after turning 7 I believe. It's been almost 4 years since then but every day I think about him. I miss you Grayson

What happened to the American Water Spaniel? Should have been in Sporting Group. State dog of Wisconsin! I have Cocker Spaniels though just was disappointed they didn't mention the American Water Spaniel. Unless it was grouped somewhere else.

Normal people don't know these breeds and subgroups so I like to make stuff up when folks ask about my mutt.
-She's a Silver Retriever and he's a Philippine Shepherd. They're relatively new breeds that have been growing in popularity. --

Personal pet peeve: cairn is a one syllable word. Nearly everyone says it -Karen- terrier, which is wrong. Its -k-AIR-n. - Seems as though I'll be forever vexed by this if even AKC experts are saying it wrong.

I had a Cocker spaniel but I don't know what type, I'm hoping it was an English but doubt it, she was white with black large spots. She loved to hug too. I miss her the most out of all the dogs I've had.

Watched both videos and my dog didn't show up. Really when talking about American Staffordshire Terrier how do you not mention the American Pitbull Terrier. - Is it not popular enough? The dog is everywhere.

As someone who owns only mutts, this was very helpful to make up my dogs' breed based on their coats to use in conversations at the park.
-Oh, she's a Pyrenees + Kuvasz + Labrador mix. --
