Oh yeah, eating crickets and grasshoppers is totally harmless! Until you catch a few parasitic worms lmao. I'm all for introducing more insect protein to our diets because it's so readily available, but I don't think it's safe telling people that eating bugs is totally harmless.

I-d love to hear what a fungus expert has to say about the massospora cicadina. Some fungus are known to -mind control- their hosts (ophiocordyceps unilateralis) so it sounds like a similar kind of survival mechanism for the massospora; infect, take over, profit.
