Didn't go over Santan sawit (I don't even think you can buy that in the US though. But also, no millet, sorghum, amaranth, or peanut milk. There's actually way more seeds and nuts people eat that they make milk out of, but you might not find them in the supermarket, but a lot of them taste better than hemp milk I'd say (not much of an accomplishment, but I do think there's a lot more good stuff out there.
Also, I think part of why soymilk specifically gets recommended while other plant milks don't is because it the US has a -massive- soy industry, not just for soymilk, but soybean oil, soymeal, animal feed and more.
Also the B12 think mentioned during the Banana milk segment is only true right now in certain places and it's because of things like modern water treatment killing the bacteria that produce B12, and the only reason B12 is particularly prevalent in animal sources is because we feed animals B12 supplements.

I think it is hilarious that people slam almond milk for the amount of water used. You do realize cows milk takes more water to produce? Shoutout to big dairy for perpetuating lies.
Let's look at some numbers: California produces 80% of the world's almonds. Yet alfalfa (for animal feed) uses up twice as much water in Cali. And overall the livestock industry uses up 47% of the states water. Yet, the state only produces 1. 4% of the world's dairy.
Eating meat and dairy is what is really causing the drought in California, not drinking almond milk or watering your lawn too much.

i thought they would just add flour to water and it would be your plant milk-. i believe most of the world drinks exactly this type of -plant milk-, not the more expensive and higher in quality milk that is actually made of real nuts and seads(like the ones the lady talks about in this video)
americans have no idea how lucky they are in terms of access to all this variety of food: (

It takes approximately one gallon of water to produce one almond, 5 gallons to produce a walnut, and hundreds of gallons to produce a cheeseburger. Do your research to see the real cost of the foods you are eating. Almonds got major attention because they are mainly grown in the San Juaquin valley in CA where they are currently experiencing a major drought.

I-m watching this while drinking some fresh-squeezed orange milk and a cold glass of cow juice! This is a great video for people who can-t or don-t want to drink milk, but it sure sounds like juice to me. Juice isn-t milk, and corn whisky isn-t gasoline. Just call it by its real name. People will buy it and enjoy it just as much!

I wonder what it would taste like to mix all the different plant milks together. Seems like it-d be super vitamin rich creamy and have an intense but pleasant flavor. Someone needs to try. I don-t know if I-m gonna spend the money on 12 different containers of milk lol

Having grown up with rolled oats in milk being one of my main and favourite breakfast cereals, I already associate the flavour of oats with milk. Oat milk has therefore been a favourite milk substitute of mine since finding out I'm lactose intolerant. =)

The critical question for me is cost, so information about that is very important in my purchase decisions. I must balance nutrition, cost, and environmental impacts, so just buying the weekly milk supply isn't as simple a decision as you would suppose.

Almond milk is not -slightly lower in protein- than real milk. It literally has 1 gram of protein per serving. One. Compared to what, eight? It has 1/8th the protein of milk, not -slightly less-.

It's great when you do it yourself but if I buy a vegetal milk, it's just a lot of sugar! And water. For just a tiny little bit of others elements. So different! Even taste is just sugar. It's sad.
