I love him! It was people like him that passed the passion for science on to me when I was a child. Now I have a Bachelor's degree in physics and since my main field of interest is biophysics, I am currently doing a Master's degree in biomedical engineering focused on biomaterials and biomechanics. If I one day can pass the torch to the younger generation with such excitement as he does, all I have ever dreamt of has come true!

I was swallowed by a whale once, and Moby ended up cutting me a big check for my troubles. Fortunately, I still had all my scuba gear on, and about 45 minutes in my tanks. He had just polished off a huge meal of giant Blue Fin Tuna before me, so when I cut my way out, I also tied a few tuna melts to my belt. Talk about a windfall - Over a thousand pounds apiece at $200/pound.

Isn't it inevitable that as time goes on, the strongest invasive species will together form a broad spectrum dominance over most of the Earth's environmental niches?
EG the norwegian rat in north america, red eared sliders, those mud carp, feral hogs, fire ants, etc
These species are all extremely resilient and can not only survive but flourish in many environments.

Still can't completely understand how some parts of life evolve. For example blood. I mean, either you have blood or a heart and it works or you don't have it (like cells, but there is no in between. It's just like -poof- and it's there and works. what do i miss?

Kind of the opposite of my geology prof. She told me that we are on a path to extinguish the homonidae. The planet and life in general will prolly continue as we've seen through prior extinction events. If we have anything to worry about it's us.

for anybody going through window bug splatter cleaning deprivation, I am more than willing to allow you to get your fix off of cleaning splattered bugs off my car windows. I'm getting down right tired of doing it after each and every drive.

In my area I've actually seen an increase in some varieties of bugs, and there is a lot more bug splatter to deal with. Mainly flies and mosquito like species are more common. Though beetles, bees and butterflies are less common

Did the -climate crisis- also kill 100% of life before humans arrived? Is it always a crisis or only when democrats need votes and otherwise PRIVATE JETS TO DAVOS! Lol the climate WILL ALWAYS CHANGE like it always has.
