I find a lot of the language in this misleading and unspecific. He mentions twin studies of schizophrenia, and gives a statistic related to identical twin studies specifically. Specificity and clarity is important. There are other things he says that are different to how I’ve been taught but I am only a psychology student and not yet a psychologist or psychiatrist. He also uses more absolute language than I would say is appropriate but perhaps that’s a difference in cultures or something. Idk how I feel about this one

Psychiatrists are such frauds. This dude still talking about neurotransmitter imbalances when I’ve had other psychiatrists tell me that that never was the science and never was accurate. They don’t know a single thing about these disorders

I know tiktok exists, thats being on tiktok for too long.
edit: when you say % of the population, please dont forget to specify if its the american population or world population, for non americans there is a difference.

Since 10-15 years, lots of people like to pretend they have ADHD in order to get attention or excuse weird behaviour
I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid and it took years to exactly know the severity of it

Starting off the video with a political slant on the definition of psychotic. This is why I don't take professional manipulators seriously. Stop giving them platforms.

As a nurse, this is probably the most useful and potentially the most healthful Wired Support video. Stay safe everyone. And don't hesitate to seek help!

I dont think the theory that the low serotonin is the cause of depression is accepted. Serotonin is related to depression but a high or low amount isnt.

I am my own psychiatrist because no one knows me better than myself! (however, my psychiatrist irl actually helped me a lot)
