There are a couple answers I disagree with him on. One the person who said that you can optically tell Mahomes is just a better QB than Brady ever was got answered by him as saying that Brady had the better numbers by far. Obviously Brady has better numbers because he played so much longer but idc if pat Mahomes retires with half of Brady's Super bowls or TDs the point he was making is you can call Brady the GOAT because of accolades or longevity but when it comes to who is the best Quarterback physically, skill wise, mentally, etc. the answer is simply Pat Mahomes. He just does things Brady didn't have the talent to do. Brady was very skilled but Mahomes matched his skill level and has heaps more talent to go along with it. And secondly the question of the single greatest one game performance in NFL history shouldn't go to Brady for orchestrating a 28 point comeback considering it was partly because of his play they were down that much to begin with. Idk what the real answer is here but it shouldn't be Brady's comeback game. Maybe his snow game against Tennessee where he had like 5 passing TDs in just the first half lol.

A change that the NFL (and most professional sports) haven't contended with is that people watching on TV have a better view of what happened than the officials on the field. With HD, tons of camera angles, slow motion replay, fans know better than the refs in real time what the correct call is. And the NFL has done a horrible job of rectifying that. They should add (at least) one official who is in a booth with communication to the officials who can override all decisions.
In addition, they should fix challenges. A lost challenge costs a timeout already, but you should be able to challenge any officials call (or non-call) if you have a timeout to pay if you lose. If it can be rectified it should be challengeable. Basically an penalty call or non-call should be challengeable. If a coach wants to throw a flag and say, number 65 held number 91 on that play they should be able to. Now that fans can see what is right better than them, the officials need to swallow their egos and recognize getting the calls right is more important than their supposed authority.

FUN FACT: At 14: 42 the player pictured (#24) is Byron Whizzer White. Here's his story, in brief:
He studied law at Oxford University in England after nearly winning the Heisman Trophy at Colorado.
He returned to the US to practice law, but was convinced to play pro football, becoming the highest-paid player in league history - $15, 800/year contract!
In his three-year career, he led the league in rushing two times.
He left pro football to serve as an intelligence officer for the Navy in the Pacific during the War.
He returned to Yale Law School after the War and in 1962, President Kennedy appointed him to the Supreme Court
HE SAT ON THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT FOR OVER 31 YEARS, UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN 1993

Namath's importance to the NFL had little to do with his statistics. He is in the HOF because of the huge effect he had on the NFL/AFL merger, which created the NFL as it exists today. His Superbowl win proved that the AFL was as good as the NFL, which many fans at the time had refused to believe. The merger was a direct result of that win. He was also a major media figure who greatly enhanced the popularity of the NFL with the public and resulted in more TV coverage. These are things you just have to be old enough to remember. Since most people today were not yet born in that era, they will never understand Namath's true importance.

In the Mahomes vs Brady debate, I disagree with the assertion that cumulative counting stats and team wins equals best at the position. Brady's longevity is insane and his team's success is insane, and I don't think it's fair to say that Mahomes is better than Brady was yet. And looking at super bowl wins I think is asinine, that's removing every other player's accomplishments and giving all the credit to the QB. Dumb argument. I think it's much more impactful to look at stats like completion percentage, yards per game, touchdown rate, etc, as well as individual accomplishments like MVP wins, when thinking about best QB.

The CTE question was a good one I am glad it was brought up. Of course playing football is dangerous, but so is boxing, wrestling, hockey, & MMA. Many occupations in life can be very dangerous such as being a fire fighter, a cop, or in the Military but we still have people who need to do them, & want to do them. Athletes make 900 times more than cops, or troops do, but there is a need for many to play & coach, & that need nor industry will never go away because sports are in people's DNA. Especially in the USA.

Civilian GPS technology isn't accurate enough to measure first downs. Accuracy is within several feet.
To measure a first down it would have to be accurate within centimeters. Then you would have to figure out where to put the GPS receiver. If you put it on one end of the ball, what happens if the other end of the ball is the forward end of the ball If you put the GPS receiver in the middle of the ball, the middle of the ball would have to cross the first down marker to be a first down.

this guy quotes statistics but he has never studied them he comments that Tom Brady has more statistics than Mahomes but Tom Brady has played more than twice as many years if you take the first six or seven seasons of both of them Mahomes is so far ahead of Tom Brady that it's ridiculous if you compare a like amount of time is a completely different story than saying one guy gets to count 20 years the other guy gets six years some historian who chooses these people

Not a very good historian. Gives no real background on the origins of the word 'football', the sport in its current form did not exist until the mid 19th century so saying it dates back to the 1600/1500 is full of crap without any evidence. And then the cowboys americas team question is basically unanswered. The celtics won a lot in basketball, in baseball the yanks did. None were named americas team. So what was different about the cowboys

The Atlanta Falcons of 1977 had the best defense in history if one considers score prevention the hallmark of a great defense. Research if you're skeptical.
The Falcons went 7-7. We said yeah the defense won 7 and the offense lost 7 games
A defense shouldn't be penalized for having a crappy offense. In fact, that makes the job even harder

Will punch-drunkenness kill the NFL There may be fewer kids playing in years to come (both in never being allowed to play due to schools and pee wee leagues discontinuing programs if they become uninsurable, and kids getting weeded out earlier after head injuries) and thus, the quality of the player pool may suffer, and the NFL might, in theory, become on a par with the UFL talentwise and people might start to lose interest.

It's kinda weird he kept bringing up statistics like amount of super bowls for Tom Brady or amount of wins for Joe Namath when those statistics really have nothing to do with individual performance, they have to do with team performance. You can't say an athlete is good just because they were on a winning team or bad because they are on a losing team, that would be liked judging MLB pitchers by wins.

The main problem I have with brain injury and the nfl is simply that these brave guys aren’t paid nearly enough to put their bodies through the gamut like they do. As far as ethics, we know the risks now. We knew the risks of mma and boxing and they’ve stuck around, so as long as football players understand the risks of playing, it’ll stick around too.

Dude, I know you don't want to repeat yourself but most of your answers that relate to history and origins are rugby. Why is a score called a touchdown Rugby. Why were the goal posts on the goal line Rugby. Why is the sport called football it is a derivation of rugby football. Who invented football A guy who thought rugby was too exhausting for him.

The greatest performance in game question was asking pure stats, not Tom Brady's comeback. In that game the defense and dumbfounding calls by the Falcons lost them that game, not just Tom making passes. The answer should be some insane statistical game like say 270 yards rushing, or receiving or passing for 600 yards or even 7 TD passing game.

There is a strong argument for the 1991 Redskins being the greatest team of all time. Pro Football Focus set up objective metrics to determine who the greatest team of all time was. The 91 Redskins came out on top. A large part because they have the largest average margin of victory during the playoffs in the Super Bowl era.

Want to fix the kick off Allow the receiving team to have 1 forward pass if the receiver is behind the 15 yard line. He is considered a runner if he crosses the 15 yard mark, still incentives the touch back, and forces the kicking team to play more defensively as they now need to cover more players

The sole asterisk on the Brady vs Mahomes comparison is if Mahomes keeps his current pace. If he does, he'll overshadow Brady over his career. Just speaking on Superbowl wins, he's already got 3 in the same time frame Brady did, and he's got almost a decade to get #4 to match Brady's pace.

In the Mahommes vs Brady or LeBron bs Jordan debate why do we always conflate accolades with skills We act like Brady caught that interception against the Seahawks to win the SuperBowl. MaHommes has the better arm, more mobility and same or better accuracy. I'm not even a Chiefs fan

I mean. The gps thing is about misleading. Since they tried a chip system usfl and in the preseason this last year. And it wasn't ready. It is an oblong ball. Probably need two chips in the ball. There have also been anecdotes about the ball not feeling the same when thrown also.
