Hot take: This was a terribly disappointing questline to further along the kirin tor's story. It was supposed to be sad and it was at the BEGINNING when you were dealing with Aethas and his emotions, and he's an interesting character that we haven't seen a whole lot of and he's been around forever so it's nice to get to know him more, but then halfway through it's the Jaina show ONCE AGAIN. I am SO SICK OF JAINA. She is not a well written character. She is in EVERYTHING. EVERY story EVERY plot EVERY event and now she's going to be the leader of the Kirin Tor on top of every other title she holds, can't wait for her to become Guardian in 2 expansions when they kill khadgar for real. Called it here btw. There were SO MANY MAGES IN DALARAN THAT HAD ACTUAL DEPTH THAT COULD HAVE BEEN EXPLORED. They didn't even mention anyone on the council of six, who we presume all died right Idk I guess we're just left to assume a couple of those boats were characters that we have seen for literally over a decade with zero mention of even thier names. I was so excited for this. They made you wait 21 days for 15 min of questing and more Jaina (yay jaina, everyone likes her. Also what's with the whole keeping the Kirin tor active but they just aren't going to involve themselves with the world It's a collection of the most powerful mages in Azeroth and now they're just going to be retired researchers I guess. That to me is a harder fall than losing Dalaran in the first place.
Sorry, this comes from a place of following everything Kirin Tor. I have a Kirin Tor tattoo, I play 3 mages. I do not feel like this was good.

I have many things to say about Khadgar in a wheelchair. But he's a mage. The guardian! Can't he just use levitate to float around
But the wheelchair is already floating. So what are the use for the wheels then If he's just gonna float around in that, why doesn't he just float around in like a throne This is so wierd and funny on so many levels.
I get that want representation and awareness for people in wheelchairs, in the wake of Ibelin (may he rest in peace, but they miss when they make the darn thing float. It just make it look absurd. If they want Khadgar to be in a wheelchair, then at least make a wooden one that rolls on the ground, or make him sit in some kind of moderate size throne that floats around.

Dalaran getting knocked out of the sky twice isn't an indictment on the failures of the Kirin Tor, it's a recognition that they're always putting themselves on the line at every frontier. They take losses as they risk their organization at every big bad scenario.
Now we have Gallywix which is supposed to be some criticism of capitalism, I'm sure. Why can't we all be shape-changing elvish trolls and live in underground wakanda I can't believe people get a paycheck for this stuff.

I don't play WoW, I'm glad I don't, I still enjoy some ways they've gone with the story, it isn't all perfect.
But I just gotta say, why the fck did they give Khadgar a boring ass wheelchair, of all the damn things they could've given him. Why just a regular ass wheelchair, it's so immersive breaking, since he's literally a one man army, and doesn't make his own stylized and versatile thing to sit on. Could've been a magical animal, maybe a construction that looked like something from Dalaran, or just a floating hanging chair thing from Suramar. So many options, but they fcked it up with that, it diverts my attention so fcking much

Dalaran gets destroyed Oh non! Anyway. Dalaran got destroyed at WC3, gets rebuilt in Wotlk in a flying mode, got destroyed here, and gets rebuilt with 5 boats full of some crystals. And yeah, this wheelchair. Dude did not only resurrected BUT is using some wheelchair. I was hoping so much better for this ending World Soul saga. Enjoy your gaming time I guess.

If it's to be rebuild and not supposed to be floating anymore (which I'd appreciate tbh, Dalaran should return home to Lordaeron, where it belongs. The crater has been empty for far too long already.

I can't wait for mages to unlock other roles like support or healer or tanks. I knew that mages were very versatile in their spellcrafting, these cinematics only strengthened my belief in it.

I just realized that as of The War Within, in-game there are two Dalarans (Crystalsong Forest, Broken Isles) and two Dalaran Craters.
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
