Jaina & Derek Meet Calia Menethil (Arthas' sister) Cutscene. In 8. 2. 5, Jaina & Derek Proudmoore reunite with Calia Menethil, Arthas' long-lost sister & presumably heir to the throne of Lordaeron. Derek & Calia seem to be getting pretty close. Ahem. Also playable Lightforged Undead when?

Yo so I had a thought, when Jaina says -others will need to find their footing, their future, perhaps you could guide them too- is a hint that Calia will indeed become the new racial leader for the forsaken, and as a result will get new physical option changes for the Forsaken and here-s why I KNOW this will happen option.
1) 2 races of the horde have already got new updated customization options, the blood elves got golden eyes in Legion because of the the cleansing of the sunwell, and with the Orcs getting a spine adjustment this expansion because of Saurfang updated model.
2) would fit perfectly for new future players who could either go with the old forsaken look or choose the new look due to having a possible new intro for Forsaken characters since lorefully we can-t well say new forsaken will be risen how they used to be for future expansions (ie starting out being risen by valkyr under sylvanas- orders.
3) There really is NO ONE else that can lead them, one could argue Lillian Voss similar to how Rokhan is the champion of the Darkspear but has never been outright named the racial leader of them (even tho cmon we all know he pretty much is, but she already explained she has no true loyalty to the Horde plus the Forsaken need a new way to be raised and seeing as how Calia is LITERALLY the only option now unless you think Bolvar will come down from -ice cream citadel- to join the now friendly with Alliance, Horde.
In short, Calia WILL be the new leader of the Forsaken, prove me wrong.

Jaina to Calia -Did you ever hear the Tragedy or Arthas Menethil the wise? -
Calia -no-
Jaina -I thought not, it is a undead legend, Arthas Menthil was a dark lord of the undead, he was so powerful in necromancy, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying-
Calia -he could actually save people from dying? -
Jaina -Necromancy is pathway to many abilities some consider to be. unnatural-
Calia -what happened to him? -
Jaina -unfortunately, he taught his minions everything he knew, until the alliance & Horde nation attacked and ended him. ironic, he could save others from death. but not himself-
Calia -is it possible to learn this power? -
Jaina -not from a priest-

So did Calia only show up on the alliance side during the xpansion? Cause I thought they would have done something with her after they made such a big deal about the light making her undead in the book. This is one of the things I really hate about blizzard, they make these stories and then do absolutely nothing with them in game. So much time wasted in this game just grinding with nothing to show for it but small little tidbits of stories. -Thank you Champion for spending weeks grinding reputation! Here go do this quest for 10 mins then come back for more weeks of grinding! -

This still irks me so much. These characters are UNDEAD except for Jaina. And whilst Calia is a lightbound-something something, she is still very much dead.
The lore around Undead describes the process to be quite horrific and to truly change someone. It reduces positive emotions whilst promoting the negative. These characters however. Act as if they-re perfectly fine! Its so out of touch with what an undead should actually act like in my opinion. And dont even get started on the shipping that is going on.

i think this all but confirms that calia is going to be reaching out to the forsaken. maybe not the new leader but i thinks it likely will be getting a splinter group in the form of an allied race. i really wish they'd stop with these damn rep grinds it feels like thats all ive done this expansion its getting a bit ridiculous and this means it could very will be extending into 9. 0

I've watched a few videos now and yes I know I'm waaaaaaaaaaay late here but recently I had my interest sparked and just want to know if the game is even worth playing this late into it for a newbie. I was SWG and SWTOR from launch so wow was back burnered

I LOVE the fact that in Classic there aren't any lazy bullsh-t cinematics. And how the lore and the world is made in order to make you feel the conflict between two powerful factions without a declarated war.
reply

Ohhh I see it now. Calia offers the Undead a road to redemption, the light, which may spur as a vehicle for the horde and alliance to make a temporary truce to confront a greater threat in the Shadowlands.

Everyone: -YAAAAY NO MORE WARS WE CAN FINALLY FOCUS ON TRANSMOGS AND WHATNOT! -
N'zoth: -flips tentacle-
Everyone: -gOD DAMMIT, could we not have an extinction level event for FIVE MINUTES! -

If arthas is dead, former leader of the undead, scourge and now the forsaken also calia is his older sister, therefore calia is the heir and should be the queen of the undead, not sylvanas
reply

Blizz makes it official that Nathanos has a thing for Sylvanas, and almost immedieately they make another ship known that mirrors that one, gotta ask why they think it's necessary
reply

If Calia becomes the new Queen of the Forsaken, she will be on the other side of the coin her brother, Arthas, once was. They both became rulers of the undead.

current wow dialogue reads like a bad fanfic, and it totally makes sense for siblings to be speaking in different accents. where is their producer in all this?
reply

When I watch this video
Me: So. if Jaina's brother can come back in undead from. should you bring my main(Calia's brother+_+) back? pleaseQwQ!

reply

Derek and Calia are going to be the new King and Queen of the Forsaken. Calia is going to take her place on the throne of Lordaeron.
reply

Ah so the war ended huh. Who's gonna lead the horde now? Will Thrall be the warchief once again or someone will have to be a warchief?
reply

So how would the Forsaken race continue to repopulate if Sylvanas and the Valk-yr should be replaced? There have to be more raised.
reply

How can they make such a hot game char man. I mean look at jaina looks so real and stunning hot. wish there were girls like her
reply

There's something deeply unsettling to me about Calia. There's just. something in her voice that unsettles my bagels.
reply

Either she will be the leader of the undead or atleast a leader of a faction of free undeads that will live in lordaeron
reply

Well Derek, I'm not sure if undead have blood circulation. that might be a real -downer- for you down the line, eh?
reply

1: 22 cue the Alliance walking out of the bar and seeing my Horde ass just hiding in a tree on orders from Lillian Voss
reply

It's nice to see character we have long been accustomed to. finding love in each other. whilst I am forever alone
reply

So since the original Menethil and Proudmoore pair didn't pan out. Their undead siblings get to have a go at it?
reply

Please don't hurt them anymore Blizzard. Just let us kill Sylvanas Screamrunner and dance on her still corpse.
reply

Pls i wanna finish the story of BFA by watching your cinematics. pls upload the next chapter for 8. 2. 5
reply

When they get married, I-m damn sure Jaina will see them as what could have been between her and Arthas.
reply

Sylvanas is no longer fit to be Queen of the Forsaken. All hail our true Queen Calia, Long may she reign!

Where hope exists, you make room for healing. For all things that are possible. and some that are not.
