Kael'thas Talks About Arthas, Illidan & Dreadlords. In 9. 1, Chains of Domination, Lady Vashj reunites with Kael, as they talk about Illidan's fate & the Dreadlords infiltrating Revendreth. Kael'thas remembers Arthas & Kel'thuzad destroying his homeland, Quel'thalas. I feel edgy. Azshara's

kaels old voice actor from wc3 was perfect, so much better than this new guy. yet in the wc3 remake they made him a beefy he-man face, which doesn't fit him. and lore wise he was retconned twice, from turning him into a mustachioed cackling villian the moment he set foot in outland to a full on second retconning in shadowlands where he becomes a pompous childish brat which they punish him for, yet which he never was. he was retconned that that is what he was but he never really was that! and honestly he was a quiet spoken prince (yes with some princly arrogance) up until the retcon as you can see from his voice in wc3 and the books vs shadowlands and the new terrible voice actor. shame they shat on his lore so much, and to this day he's denied justice. the writing really is bad, or else so many people wouldn't be upset. you can bring in new material without tearing up lore of old beloved charchters. it's like in TBC when they first retconned him and just suddenly make him and Vashj ultimate evils cause they wanted a quick boss to throw in, and wrecked what could've been endless awesome story to grow by just knocking them off as cliched baddies. lazy stuff for deadlines and a quick check, now they are like Disney unable to create any new good stuff without milking the husks of good charachters. if they were respectful to kael and vashj true lore, we could be teaming up with them to kill the scourage and fight the sanlayn and have endless opportunities. or even just closure would've been nice for these long time heroes where kael at least gets justice. i can only cope by telling myself he made a clone of himself to leave in shadowlands, while the real him peaced out to Dota2 as the Invoker.

Vashj: As a Keldorai, I was but a hand maiden prized for my beauty and nothing else. But as a Naga, I was recognized and rewarded for my cunning and resolve.
Seriously? Did she lack in cunning and resolve when she was beautiful? Or is this one of the woke messages reminding woman that their beauty only detracts from their utility? Look, if you have one, but not the other, you make use of what you DO have. If you have both, shouldn't it stand to reason you'd be all the more -valuable? - Geez way to objectify yourself, tool.

What pains me as much as the voice actor for Kael'thas is the decision they made during TBC to drastically change Kael'thas' character. He was the loyal type, honorable, thinking only of his people. and they twisted all of these values off-screen to make us fight a disloyal, selfish betrayer prince.
Thanks to that, Blood Elves have no dynasty anymore, we're stuck with a regent-king that will never be a true king.

reply

Kael did not abandon his people. nor did he truly corrupt them. He did betray them even though that bit of writing is utter garbage. The fact they had Vashj go to Maldraxxus say Kael had a shortage of victories any more than Vashj did is utter garbage as well. I despise these writers.

Makes me wonder. if Illidan had succeeded in destroying the Frozen Throne, would the Jailer's plans have been pushed forward? Would the Scourge have mindlessly eradicated Azeroth of all life and paved the way for his entry?
reply

Why's Vashj dissing Kael so hard when they meet? I thought they had a good mutual respect in WC3. Unless Kael's spurt with Kil'Jaedan pissed her off?
Also, yeah, KT's new voice actor is horrendous.

I-m just happy to see Kael-thas again. His fall hit me rather hard, harder than Arthas. Played as a Blood Elf in BC and I enjoyed searching for him in Outland- only to find him changed on Azeroth.
reply

destroy the lichking, so back then the demons working for sargarus new about the jailer and wanted to stop him, otherwize sargarus would have to fight him directly as one titan to another.
reply

They added a kneeling animation for Kael in the cutscene where he meets Illidan. They really seem to have touched up on the moments that would be relevant to Shadowlands.
reply

Kael - -Why were you sent to Maldraxxus, Vashj? You have no shortage of sins. -
Vashj - -And no shortage of victories. Can you say the same? -
BUUUUURRRNNNN!

Wow has turned into an overly wordy, neurotic, soap opera for female players that don't exist. I don't know what's going on in Activition, but I wouldn't invest in it.
reply

I always wonder why Vashj and many other characters who got changed back when they were still alive didnt want their original Forms in the Shadowlands. thank you for this
reply

I knew he was powerhungry, selfish and obssessed in saving the Blood Elves but id really wish they could bring Kael'thas back to Life so that he can redeem himself
reply

idk man i feel like theres way too many twists and turns and jk its opposite day to even follow whats going on anymore (specially with the new shadowlands 'lore')
reply

Having Vashj back as a protagonist was the best part of Shadowlands. Everyone simps for Azshara but Vashj is the kind of woman who gets things done properly.
reply

What victories does Vashj have exactly? The only ones I can think of are also Kael'thas'. If anything her motivations seem more selfish and sinful than Keal's.
reply

Tbh the one thing I think is fun is everyone just reading each other lol, lore peeps from Rev and Mal just going at each other like an aggressive tea party
reply

Your clickbait title implies these were from 9. 1. God, I'm sick of accidentally clicking on your videos and being misled by your titles in my suggested bar.
reply

''Illidan would have relished this. '' He's not wrong. I reckon he would be loathe to miss out on an opportunity to slay the Nathrezim on THEIR home turf.
reply

In game cinematics are trash. The way models -reset- and weapons move. You would think Blizzard Activision would spend the extra to make them properly.
reply

damn I just want Kael'thas to get an updated model, he's been my favourite character since wc3 and still has a cardboard origami as a model Sadge
reply

I really feel sad for Kael Thas. He tried to save his people and noone ever said a good thing about him. Really, really sad fate he weilds
reply

Thanks for posting these, I stopped plying in BFA because of the story and the game just wasnt fun anymore, but man I miss the lore sometimes
reply

Glad I never knew any different voice actor since burning crusade, this Kael'thas has been KAEL'THAS FOR TOO LONG TO BE USURPED, HE IS GLORY.
reply

the difference is really clear if you compare how he sounds at 3: 24 (new VA) and at 6: 31 (original)
: ( miss kael'boi even more now

reply

Still don't understand why Kaelthas was made to be an arrogant soul. He really had no choice and I hate the Retcon of this character.
reply

I got my phone in my pocket cleaning with my headphones on and i hear at 1: 50
-Now Kaelthas, Expel the aenima! -
>grunting

reply

Blizz conformed to woke cancer false accusations against the og VA of kael'thas such a tragedy, no longer supporting this company.
reply

There isnt much of a change in the voice, in the acting tho. Kael was never arrogant, not sure why he is so arrogant now.
reply

Yep I don't see anybody in this comment section saying wow this new guy is great for voice acting. great job Blizzard. -
