Warcraft 2 Manual Year 1995
Stronguard - Background: The kingdom of Stromgarde retains a strict martial philosophy which makes it a highly regarded addition to the Alliance. Situated amongst the foothills of the Alterac Mountains, Stromgarde serves as a sentinel against any invasion across the Orc-controlled borders of Khaz Modan. Possessing a long history of warfare against the Trolls, the warriors of Stromgarde are well prepared to engage in open combat with all enemies of humanity.
They would never allow the orcs to remain in their Territory, ever!
And you missed an opportunity, I could see Stronguard and the Orcs having an understanding of one another, because both people's Respect and Value Strength, Hunting, Aptitude in Warfare and Tradition.
In the RPG books Stronguard uses BOWS rather than crossbows and rifles JUST LIKE THE ORCS and using their magic for combat rather than anything else JUST LIKE THE ORCS! Stronguard and the orcs could get along because of their Shared Cultural Values not by turning them into a bunch of pacifist Losers.
(I could even see a conversation between an Orc Grant and a Stronguard Footman and the Orc being surprised that this Human has more in common than him than he has with the other Kingdoms Footman that accompany him)
My sadness is only equal to the joy I felt when I saw my favourite city rebuild. now I almost wish it never was.

Hum. . explain me one thing please, who is this faerin and since when there is black people in wow How do you explain it, since there is no contient such as africa on azeroth, well i know evolution and biology tend to be shat upon it by the wokes but god dammit they could try to make some effort.
The only part of azeroth who could look like africa are Stranglethorn, inhabited by trolls of millenias, maybe Uldum but since it was closed off for millenia to it's kinda doubtfull, also Humans descend from Vrikuls and were mostly in the north of lordearon, wich isn't Africa like but more like Northern climate/temperate.
Ho and for the woke who ass by, you skin color depend mostly of your environement, a more sunny place such as Africa will activate the pigments( the same reason why your skin get tanned in summer) mellanine, take it on maybe generation and you will become black, that's also work in the other way.

So, Alliance won the Warfront lorewise yet the Horde still has the fortress they used for the siege on Stromgarde One would think victory meant that place was totally destroyed. Ontop of that, Horde holds about half of the territory. A truce doesn't mean they can just keep their holds and build camps in Alliance territory.
Faerin is being perfect as always, doesn't seem to have any flaws and is an inspiration to everyone.
What I also gather is: try to keep to your own culture and traditions makes you evil. Awesome.
And yes, all my 'positive' sounding comments are meant with sarcasm.
World of Peacecraft and anyone who seeks conflict (even for understandable reasons) is evil!

There are plotlines here that could have been pretty decent if they were utilized correctly, but here we are, walking on eggshells. People get conniptions when things have nuance to them and aren't presented in an extremely good/bad, black/white ultra digestible format. So this is what's on the menu, bland storytelling. Not good, not bad, but definitely not hungry for more.
We have slain demi gods across time and space and the forces of evil have thrown every power in the known cosmos at us in order to defeat us (the player, but little did they know is all it takes is an unnamed angry npc and a hammer.

They advertise this story as conflict between the Horde and Alliance, but really its just making a new group of Human extremists. Feel like a true waste of potential, showing how hard it is to adapt to peace times properly instead of making villians that are evil and only want war is such a simplification. Please give us proper tensions between the Horde and Alliance, have a group of human extremist kill orcs and the orcs retaliate properly and respond as people would. The concept behind this is great but if both leaders are just there to be perfectly reasonable, why even have this story to begin with.

Blizzard really learned nothing from the Wuk Lamat controversy. Now WoW has the exact same problem - A boring character Being far more important and in focus than the player character - But now it's mixed in with even more On-the-nose DEI initiatives, the entire story having anti-racism moral browbeating, all the while adding absolutely nothing of value to the actual lore of the game at large.
But i guess it doesn't matter to Blizzard and Microsoft, because Blackrock will cover the difference for losing most of their playerbase, and then some.

I'm glad we didn't just have Marran as a tie-in book character, but got to fight her, even though she's as untrustworthy as a legion snake and will return as just another antagonist.
Did we ever hear just what her connection to the Syndicate was btw Literally the one faction that's most hostile to Stromgarde and she went to them for help something's seriously wrong with her thinking.
That Aside, I'm glad the Syndicate is still an active force in the game, we basically haven't heard from them since BC.

Still cant get over his name being pronounced Da-Nath. Always imagined it as Dan-ath over the years and in the books. The pause between the two halves just feels weird.
The whole Stromgarde racism thing is also so nonsensical. Oh no, there are elves in our city now, yes there are. Elves are also the ones who taught you magic and saved your empire from being torn apart by the Amani. Why is this an issue.
Stromgarde is just suddenly xenophobic for plot reasons i guess

People need to understand that war can still happen in World of Warcraft. So long as the Horde and Alliance continue to exist, a faction war is bound to happen. As much as I miss a faction war, do YOU really think any of them want another one I doubt it. Right now, the focus are the Arathi from Hallowfall and the connection they can have in the Highlands. This is good story and a fair bit of something to do until the next conflict comes in 11. 2.

but Anduin is the peacemaker, where have they stashed him after they brutally wrecked him. I want my King back, he is worth more than all these other characters and I am sick of this stuff. Anduin is a total hero, and he has been treated abominably, he would fight when he had to and make peace when it is the time. he is wise and pure. I want to fight beside him, a king who values people as well as the causes of the right!

It's amusing how the comment section mostly sums up into wErE iS mY wAr! tHiS iS wArCrAfT! wErE cOnFlIcT! nO rAcIsM iN mUh GaMe! FUUUUUUUUUUCK! MuH nEeD bLoOd! cOmPaSsIoN aNd SeNtImEnTs! Nuuuuu. Time change, people change, even if its a game, they are trying to reflect that. Grow up people. Game might not be perfect, but that idiotic mentality just show the kind of people you are.

Bunch of crazies in this comment section that somehow care for the lore enough to screech for race wars again but fail to consider the actual world-building implications of a world with 2 factions that have been at a stalemate for 40 years that has also faced near extinction by interplanetary forces more than 4 times in said past 40 years.

This is a great storyline, many people in here are totally misinterpreting the literature and events that lead up to this. Y’all need to learn to appreciate this, they attempted peace through coexistence, which is no easy feat even in the real world. It’s a great way to tell a story and they’re doing a great job of this.

so they ran out of villains and use the one scarlet crusader who was actually good and used him like wth joseph was the leader of the scarlet renegades and was driven mad when he and the renegades helped the alliance to storm the monastery in an attempt to depose whitemane man can't have anything nice around here any more

Wow guys, I used to think Donald Trump and Andrew Tate where cool, but now that my favorite video game showed me a black disabled woman and taught me about tolerance, I understand that illegal immigration doesn't weaken us. It makes us stronger against our true enemy; transphobia.
reply

This is why I stopped to play this game. I miss it with all my heart, but this kind of writing is unbearable, and ruined all the lore I was so attached to. It's a propaganda machine with no regard for the old spirit of Warcraft. No other game had to suffer such desacration.
reply

Orcs: invade from a completely different planet, massacre and pillage the native inhabitants of azeroth.
Everybody in this game nowadays: people hate things that are different to them
I'm pretty sure people hate them because they're murderers and pillagers.

reply

Imagine how much the writing room must feel. We finally got our SLAY QUEEEN on the forefront destroying the patriarchy and becoming the strongest person in game, this game was destroyed and what remains is a skin that is taken over by feminists nepo babies
reply

Yep the lore ended with legion. I already have no expectations but they still manage to surprise me every new patch with this horrendous abomination called storytelling I suggest you not be hyped for midnight and the last titan either.
reply

So the orcs invaded Arathi highlands and attacked Stromgarde, but are now allowed to come back and hold half the Arathi land after being defeated That makes no sense. Sounds like very forced writing just for a peaceful cohabitation storyline.
