Bullet impacts do not lift, and throw people. That is Hollywood nonsense. All modern firearms are detachable magazine fed. Magazines are not clips. Clips feed fixed magazines, and are not a design of modern firearms. Writing a story involving such horrific subject matter (which is a good story, but having so little knowledge of firearms, and weaponcraft should have compelled the author to research the material in lieu of having any empirical knowledge, or experience in the topic. To veterans, armed professionals, and gun guys, incorrect details like that are like nails on a chalkboard, and diminish the reader's experience.
I absolutely enjoy this story, and the author did a great job, but in future writings the author should research more, or get a technical advisor.

Terrific work Scott, I was sorry when I got to the end and there was no more to listen to. That said, I have so many questions, for example, why a lion There's no shortage of bears in Maine who could have done the job more plausibly. Do your characters only bathe every few years when they happen upon access to a hot shower

I can't even explain how much I love listening to these but that moment on the pier when the citizens protected him from the Brothers legitimately had me crying. there's so many reasons why Luke is my favorite character but his sweet, loving, protective nature is one of them. He rushes in to help when most others won't.

These characters need to watch the episode of Breaking Bad called No Half Measures Mike's cop story. See a psychopath, kill a psychopath. They literally ALWAYS let them go. It's not humane, it's emotional laziness. Like cleaning a septic tank, you don't have to like it but it HAS to be done. Just sayin'.

I've enjoyed all the books and the narration, however every time rex speaks it's throws me out of the story as he sounds so old yet couldn't be as the adults all died in the beginning and it is a bit of a annoyance. But hey look how far I am in the series and that's my only criticism.

I am completely engrossed in this series, when will the next part be released I thought about buying the books to finish but realized delayed gratification would be better, seeing how the characters are now embedded with your voice, tone and demeanor. Thanks for all the enjoyment.

I listen to audiobooks while I drive my truck every day. Most end up being just background noise until I realize theres no point in listening and change books.
This book hasn't lost my attention at all and is a great listen. It's making my days go by quick. Very good book

Oh my gosh, I am so glad I waited to listen to the end of this until I was at home alone. Beautiful and poetic, the reunion of father and daughter; the justice of Jared's death. Stellar work good sirs, I can't wait to listen to the next portion.
