I did like this story, I had to read it for my AP Literature class though so the work that comes with it will be annoying. However, I did enjoy how much detail was packed into so few pages. I am disappointed in the ending and cannot fully comprehend what exactly it means. I gather that she has isolated herself, but she's swimming too deep and growing tired. Did she drown herself or something

I have to say that the book itself is great and the recording is very well done, but the main problem with the book is it contains too much unnecessary information, which basically makes most of the parts feel boring.

Wow this sucked. I’ve read my fair share of feminist literature AND Victorian lit, and this is bottom of the barrel. Chopin somehow understands female agency less than some male authors I’ve read (Ibsen comes to mind)

Chopin was a MASTERFUL writer! Her writing is descriptive, engaging, and just perfect! I read her Story of an Hour first, and bow exploring her body of work more in depth.
