THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST by Oscar Wilde FULL AudioBook In fact, now that I think about it, perhaps the reason I actually like this play so much, is because I was never forced to read it. I remember having to read various books and no matter how enjoyable they may objectively be, they have been soured by the obligation of having to read them. Actually, I can hardly recall one book that was on the obligatory reading list that I enjoyed reading, or would like to read again, no matter how iconic and supposedly good they are. Maybe itd be better if students were given a wide selection of books on any given topic or of any given time period from which they could freely choose. Its really a shame so many valuable pieces of work were ruined for so many people for the sole reason of being made to read them.

There are many books I'd like to read and others re-read, but being that everything one does is on the computer or the phone, my eyes get tired, and I don't feel like reading for fun, so this is a great find for me. I particularly really wanted to re-read this book. I LOVE Oscar Wilde! Thank you very much.

This is my favorite comedy in the world! By it's incredible humor, as almost all characters are saying seriously the exact opposite of serious considerations.
Thank all that made possible to have access to this text, in these impressive manner, including every one who could not have the book.

Am I the only one not listening to this audiobook for school/college I've read this play many times, it is one of my favourite stories, and gave this a listen out of curiosity. I have to say, the person who plays Algernon is FANTASTIC!

I really enjoyed this, the different voices help you remember the characters and give them distinction. Also the man who voices Algy sounds so familiar! He was also my favourite along with the woman who voiced Cicely

I fell in love with Wilde's use of language and the story after reading the book. Honestly, I love the different voices and I can even picture how entertaining the scenes are! So here I am to listen to it again!

2 cases of false identity and one case of identity theft. Though that last count can be stricken from the record because it was a case of false identity theft.

I always thought MJ flubbed her line when she saw Peter in the theater in Spider-Man 2 and said Yes! I mean no. But that really was in the actual play.

Just decided to try Oscar Wilde books for the first time I'm Dec 23 and I can now understand why he was famous. I love the 2 I have listened to.

I find it quite amusing that the comments, in their wording and formulation, seem to be quite inspired by the dialect of the reading.

Thank you to who ever made this. It is way better and easier to remember in my opinion when you read and hear the same thing.

Love the voice acting in this, it’s so boring reading plays without being able to hear it too: )

reply

Thank you. It is definitely more pleasant to read a play by obligation whilst listening to some delightful voice acting.

I love how you can tell this play was made for English people by the fact it talks crap on the french three separate times.

This reading is wonderful. Besides quality, it helped my ADHD brain to focus on the story lol. Thank you so much!

Oh no, and I thought Gwendolyn was silly. But it's just as bad that Gwendolyn and Cecily are both awful.
