Dear Britishers, please make audiobooks for foreign English students and English speakers who want to improve their English as well. This and others very well done audiobooks are not quite good for us. Our listening skill is not as perfect as yours and we want to practise and develop our English language skills by listening to our favourite books like Secret Garden. For us this perfect production is partly lost. What we need is perfect BBC which is a language representative for your country, the most beautiful and melodious, and while being read slowly enough and distinctly well understandable for us. Those. of you who learn a foreign language would know what I mean. I tried all the versions of SG I have found in YT and none of. them satisfies me. I am sure a version done as I suggest and marked as being such will be a great success. There are many producers of audiobooks and l don't know whom to write to but do believe me l am right. In such a version as I suggest. role playing is not necessary. We have enough of imagination to manage and fast speech makes it even more difficult. We get the gist, but it's not what literature is about. Love and respect!

Thank you so much for this! I love the cast of characters that have different voices. I fall asleep listening to this awesome audiobook every night. I don’t understand why people have put so many dislikes! Maybe to be rude
Thank you guys who made this just to be nice for everything. I hope you read the comments because this really came from my heart.

Incredible recording. I remember liking this as a kid but I didn't remember it was so long and well-written. Part of me wants to go into critique mode (especially since it starts out with so much racism, but I really could use a secret garden right now, so maybe it's okay to let the good part fill my mind right now instead.

I play this for my dog whenever I leave the house. The voice resembles mine, the dialog is so relaxed. My highly anxious dog, rests so peacefully. Having never read the book, I finally listened myself. Quite a sweet tale, one can sense the spiritual nature of the story. The message is so very inspirational.

This is my first time hearing this, I’m 68 years young. I don’t mind saying that I cried and cried as it came to the end. It’s so nice to hear good things, without evil or meanness. And with fresh milk and clotted cream, the secret is that the garden is heaven on earth.
