The voice acting is poor. It could just be the fact that this is one of the most performed plays in history, and I am used to a more professional set. That being said, it sounds as though they are reading scripts with stilted voices instead of acting. It really does seem like a high school drama club cover. No offense, guys.

Interesting fact: my intro to Shakespeare teacher told me the way that Hamlet wants to see Ophelia without realizing she's dead by sayin he can't wait to see her with makeup inches thick Was a reference to how drowned victims were prepared for funeral services back in that era due to the discoloration in their skin

This is great apart from the ruination of Polonius. He's not a cartoon character. Shit and annoying. The ladies doing Hamlet and Claudius are brilliant. Horatio is unfortunately awful. Dude it's Shakespeare not Back to the Future. But the Polonius is worse. Speak like a human.

To be a woman, or not to be a woman as Hamlet, that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous gender misidentification, or to take arms against a sea of misogynistic troubles, and by opposing end them

it's my favourite part of the whole play, i don't know. something about the muddy death of Ophelia is just so uncanny and thrilling but also so poethic in a sense that my words cannot bare.

The reading is so unhuman. It's very staccato and stop-and-go. Hamlet should have been a guy (it's art is not an excuse. Just get the video of the play or movie itself, and listen to it.

If men, especially white men, played women's roles all hell would break loose. So it should be the other way around. After all fair is foul and foul is fair. Ooops wrong play.

Would've been much better if male and female voices matched their corresponding characters. I thought it threw off the natural flow of the story, and was quite distracting.

O my god. I could only bear three minutes of these awful voices. There are much better versions available online than this polished poo of a piece.

First of all, this is a big help in reading along with the audio. Second of all Hamlet's voice is really pretty. It's so clear and bright.

It was hard for me to get into the story and very confusing that they used a female voice for Hamlet.

Hamlet's long enough without having to listen to the Dramatis personae and the names of readers.

Polonius's voice makes my skin crawl, he talks as if drunk and on the verge of death.
