I homeschool my kiddo and have been super impressed with the curriculum. Each section now contains, at least a blurb and photo, a section on African American, Native American, and. wait for it. Women's plight or contribution. All missing from my entire experience with American History. I didn't even begin to get a true account of the complexity of the United States until college. I will never forget my Prof throwing in little phrases like The syphilization of The New World, and The circumcision of the Globe. Brilliant! A far cry from making pilgrim buckles for our shoes and headbands with colorful construction paper feathers, to celebrate The First Thanksgiving. My son is now 16 and has 100% in History. So proud!

Anyone who enjoyed this should listen now to Howard Zinn's A People's History of The United States It talks about the same period but it's a whole different story. I'm an hour and fifteen minutes into this history by alleged progressives, and there hasn't been a single mention of the indigenous, native population, and a dismissive statement in passing about African slaves comparing them to indentured whites. Granted it was published in the 1920s, but still, no mention

I love and appreciate the history of America you have so generously provided to the public. Is there anyway the word mankind ( history of mankind) be changed to a more inclusive word such as human kind or something similar As a woman I know I will feel more included. Thank you so much for the incredible thoughts, energy and good will that went into this wonderful informative work that already courageously eliminated so much traditional narrative.

I believe we first need to teach how to use a culculater it’s more important than you think use a Chinese first like in kinda Garten then typing then sign language resting and writing use flat pencil not round ones you write flat not Ehe it’s a sort of cloigraphy if you teach sing LaGuardia while speaking then you sprach will come out how you would sign it

There we was Fighting the French up and down North America and beyond for 7 years, finaly ride the Americas of the French which allowed the Colonials to thrive, But it cost a fortune and left the UK bankrupt. So we asked the Locals if they would not mind helping out a bit towards the cost of this war, and wow did they get upset,

History of the USA, murder and/or imprisoned native americans, steal their land, bring Africans to said land against their will, enslave them and force the to work and help build said land for free. Then spend the next 600 yrs claiming the land is yours and black and brown people do not belong. AmeriKKKa!

The way to teach history is teach it like math. after 6th grade. Teach history five days a week and math one day. thats how u teach history, History is as important as. Reading writing n math. If u dont believe that then throw the history books in the gutter they are worthless anyway

I keep trying to listen to this but the the narrator really needs a keep his mouth hydrated. The smacking of a dry mouth is really quite distracting. I can’t get passed it. The audio levels almost seem to accentuate it as well.

Somehow this does not sound like an attempt to tell the history. The facts have been carefully selected to give a certain impression. So it likely carries a bis in the telling. Possibly for ideological purposes.

Why are people conflating this interesting history with religion Just an opportunity not to be missed, I imagine. Many videos are treated the same way. Oh well. not worth worrying about.
