Energy Source is a phrase that superficially sounds meaningful but without context it's just technobabble or mystical gibberish.
In scientific terms is it thermal, seismic, sonic, actual radioactive material, or if radiation where on the electromagnetic scale is it (from infra red through the visible spectrum, to Gamma rays)
If this is mystical then that just makes it reliant on world building to make it meaningful especially its detection too, like is it psychic, magical, enchanted ore, fissures leaking interdimensional waves bending reality, dreams of elder gods or bundles of souls
Combustion, nuclear fission/fussion, water flowing down hill, the differential in electric charge in a battery, convection currents in the Earth's mantle & a twinkie are all Energy Sources but you wouldn't confuse them for each other.

WOW, author really likes repeating the name Jasper. Also apparently Jasper's idea of discovering the unknown for accolades among Naval explorers is to find man-made facilities which would be known by all the contractors who built it. Does he not realize he'll at best get a choice of being bound by NDAs or get 35 years of detention in a White Room Torture Cell like PFC Bradley Manning at best or get killed at worst No up side for pompous people who collect travel trophies, are in it for bragging rights and fame like Jasper. Story doesn't make sense.

Not all hella loud n shit like a boisterous hero in some dramatized 60s black and white Sci Fi flick, you know the ones I mean.
people like to listen to these stories at night usually, so yeah I like this guy.
Him And that other chick you guys had on a time or two, I don't usually like to listen to female narrators when I'm tryna relax because of the higher pitch voice but she's pretty good tbh, maybe have her again.
