Never heard of this writer, so I checked out his wiki page. He was born in nowheresville Saskatchewan, and while still a uni student in Canada, he moved to Oxford to assist J. R. R. Tolkien's son in preparing The Silmarillion for publication after Tolkien's death. Who knew that! As a kid who grew up in Canada a long time ago, and as a radio nut, I listened with fascination to a true crime/courtroom drama program called The Scales of Justice. It was hosted by a big-time celebrity criminal lawyer, (famous for Canada anyway. I naturally assumed that this host-lawyer was not just the presenter but also the script writer and legal expert of the show. Wrong! Guy Gavriel Kay was both the writer and the producer. Once again, who knew Granted, a Canadian radio program is hardly on the same level as J. R. R. Tolkien's books. But many episodes were excellent; two of which were highly publicized unsolved murders in my own home town. they were very suspenseful and terrified my family! This was 40 years ago so if I remember them you just know they must have been expertly crafted. Kay's books must be pretty good, so thank you very much for uploading!
