I'm a local and reading all the other locals bashing tourists and being completely unwelcoming in their comments has me ashamed. This vocal minority does not speak for this island. Whidbey is a very welcoming and beautiful place to both visit and live. Come one, come ALL. Stay as long as you want- we understand you're need to get away from the city.

The military families make whidbey a very bigoted place to be. Most the people here- especially those vocal on Facebook- dont give a rats ass about the environment and then yell at me through their car windows to go back to where I came from. hmmmm

Good job making this island actually seem interesting and fun when in reality it's sorta boring and mundane. It's beautiful for sure but it isn't as exciting as this video wants to make it out to be.

no its isn, t a great place. thay cut down all the trees, its was great before thay put in all the one wat streets. and the navy spoiled the town. its a nightmare. ok thats coupeville not oak harbor.
