Life Lessons I Learned From My Dad

Autumn shares the story of her father overcoming hardship to find joy and purpose in his work and provide for his family. Mrs. : Becoming a parent made me realize that because my parents made it look easy by always providing for us no matter what they went through, they still had their own individual things and just bc they were adults doesnt mean they had it figured out all time. I appreciate them a TON more having my own children!
I tell people, you never truly appreciate or understand how much sacrifice your parents made to make sure you had the best life they could give, until you walk in their shoes! My parents had rough lives & the life they gave me and my sibling and a FAR contrast to the guidelines they were taught or witnesses growing up and only God knows how much I love them for that Ive let them know but I dont know if they really get how much I APPRECIATE THEM!

To all those teenage girls and boys, YOUR DAD AND MOM do care about you and dont get mad at them for trying to make you get off your phone because you will miss all the times you could have hung out but never will. They spend hours and hours working to buy your phone, pay taxes, buy food. Dads never get a chance and are often ignored compared to mothers. Both are great and needed.

My dad taught me not to be a child molester bc you get 37 yrs in prison and miss out on your daughter's life. I still have problems bc my dad is a sick mf and couldn't keep his wang to himself. I feel sorry for my stepsister. my heart has so much hatred, I can feel myself becoming evil bc I dont know how to deal with my pain. ugh I hate him.

I'm 48, I think the last time I saw my father I was 9 or 10. my father is pretty much a ghost to me and I am to him. I have no feelings whatsoever towards him and I know he feels the same way towards me or he would have contacted me. But it's all good, my 11yr old is my world and I am the opposite of him. and that's all that matters.

Failure is only a path to success, IF you don't quit!
It is excellent that you found value in what your parents taught you.
Please pass this on to your parent, Congratulations, job well done (with your daughter)

my dad taught me to love who I am and scolds me when I make self-depricating comments. he's also the definition of dad jokes. I love you dad
