Larry: Ive been using the pizzaz pizza maker for years. It works great for frozen pizza. I never tried home made pizza. I think it would work better if it didnt have all the corn meal under the pizza. You definitely have to adjust the upper and lower heating elements to get the pizza the way you like it.
