The flag means, everyone is welcome. Yolonda: She didn't design it, that was Gilbert Baker (on a commission from Harvey Milk. She coordinated the dyeing process and James McNamara helped sew the flags, but the inspiration and the design were Baker's. She and James McNamara were given credit in a memoir he wrote about the process of creating it. And the inspiration was NOT that everyone likes rainbows. A rainbow was chosen by Gilbert Baker to represent the diversity in the community. This is very disrespectful to the actual history, especially considering they didn't even spell his name correctly.

She was the first person to make the gay rainbow flag but the OG one is from the Incas they Were Peruvian native Americans and Im Peruvian so I am a little update the when people hear rainbow flag they immediately think of gay people and dont really know the information and history about it

I hate the new Rainbow flags like triangle ones Gilbert Baker's Pride flag is only original Pride Flag and yes it does matter
