What It's Like To Grow Up Black Around The World
video description
Two examples in childhood, where it couldn't at all be misinterpreted. Im sure theyre definitely remembering it correctly and not at all influenced by their current day racialized beliefs.
One where the woman telling it was fired. Hmmmm, thats not telling at all. Its not like its illegal to discriminate against people for their race and she was being super vague all indicating she was the issue.
And then 2 examples of wahahhah powices. We ALL have interactions with police, geniuses. For the Japanese one, did he ever consider maybe its not his skin color but because he looks like hes in a permanent state of high af? For the American one, I just flat out don't believe you at all. Like 95% of examples he was probably being a moron and not cooperating. Sure, theres real examples of racism (in all directions btw) buuuut whats more likely is the issue. Theres no credibility left whatsoever thanks to idiots lying. Thank everyone else for you not being able to be believed at face value.

You know its 2020 everyone deserves respect regardless of their skin colour. Regardless of their background. When my moms brother first came to Canada he went to his school swimming pool. He wore a turban at the time and these guys came and throw the turban to the ground my uncle got mad just before going back home he cut his hair. My grandpa was upset but understood why. And just recently it happened to another Sikh brother he was walking minding his own business and these non Indian guys came and started kicking him throw his turban to the ground. The police got them. These kind of thing should not happen at all. Respect every body. This is why I believe in Equality. Treat everyone the same.

I see a lot of individual racism But I dont see a lot systemic racism There is an enormous difference between the two So yes we are still going to see a lot of individuals who are racist and who run companies therefore the company is racist, etc but lets be honest to you if you go to school you have the same opportunities that everyone else has If youre poor and live in a poor community and your teachers are going to be up a lesser quality If you are in a educated area Then youre going to have better teachers But no system in place elevates white ppl over a black ppl or ppl of minorities. if this were true we would never have had a black president or any black successful people

Im all for equality and ALL lives matter. Im against rasism and aren't proud of being from South Africa. Apartheid ended the year I was born which is 1994. Now in 2020 rasism is really bad here, on both sides. Farmers get killed daily in the most brutal way and nobody bats an eye. In townships most people are scared to have their lights on at night. Yes we as white people have more and we got more oppertunities ect and its not fair. But the way its being handled by some black people is not right either. Im glad SA is being featured but there are more sides to the story.

The racism in the UK is very very systemic I would say more systemic than the USA, Canada&Aussi. It's insane, I never noticed it until I was once called a modified immigrants (modern day word for house n. As black&Asian people you're seperated according to accents. The More articulate you are(sound more british)&educated the better your chances of moving up the ranks. The less articulated you are, you're placed into less paying jobs. She said it best UK is more mature in it's racism; It's mainly found in cooperate places and it's brutal.

Why are we having this kinf od racism in the world? For me we are all people and all of us should fight for their own rights but its not fair if we drag pther people down just because of their color. In order for us to have peaceful world we should respect each other no metter who they are and no matter what they are. Black people also have their own feelings you know. We have to treat them like a family

For the guy who grew up in Japan, I thought his story was pretty interesting. Ive seen a lot of videos of other black people in Japan who have said they earnestly feel that they have experienced no racism at all there. Many of them also say that its mostly the large metropolitan areas where theres racism, but the rural small towns are pretty alright, apparently.

I grew up black in Canada and it was pretty awesome. I also love being black, whereas a lot of black people hate it and seek acceptance from others. These are the one's who's entire world comes crashing when a white person doesn't like them. I could care less about the occasional racist. Not everyone is going to like you.

Excellent panel!
I love you all & really wish that I could give you all a giant hug.
We're just starting and a lot more work to be done, but we're heading, finally, in the right direction. Gonna keep charging onward. Those who don't like it? Move over; you're in our way.
Super love
