Women React To Realistic Disney Princess Waistlines
video description
Geez, Disney doesnt need to change so that grown up woman who have body issues can relate to a drawn princess.
Disney doesnt owe us that.
Its their brand, their drawing style.
I hear no one talking bad about Totally Spies or Winx club. Its exactly the same.
I for myself am kinda skinny but I dont have the hips and waistline the princesses have. Nor the eyes and hair. Or a tail. Or a tiger as a pet. Or magic powers. Or mice pet. But I do have common sense bc I know its not supposed to be realistic.
Get over it.

There are few women who naturally are too feminine. Do you think that all women are same. We can't compare People with each other. Everyone is individual. Does all women have same height, same bone thickness, sane size frame, sane for hair, same skin for, same muscle-fat percentage, answer is no. Then why do you think that every women waist should be like a brick. If you never come across to very feminine woman it dies not mean they do not exist naturally. They do exist but they are rare, that from where these imaginations cones from. These princesses are portrayed as rare and special.

I was never really effected by their waist sizes. If you're going to have dramatic proportions then you have to own it though. Buzzfeed went overboard with this video as a lot of them looked fine. It's only really Jasmin or Ariel that have unrealistic waist sizes. Because most Disney princesses would've worn corsets. Or at least not have their midriffs exposed.
All I have to say is that now a days it would be cool if Disney incorporated more diverse healthy body types into their work. But then again I really don't mind.

They still look hourglassish even being realistically photoshopped, they look healthy and slim as well. So I think it's nice to do so, like they did with moana. I didn't think it affects kids images of body, unless my sister who is 6 years old (six Carl) asked me why the girl from the clip (shakira in hips don't lie) is fat.
Like come on! She is not fat. Maybe kids don't apply this to themselves yet, but they sometimes do have this image which is not realistic.

Corsets?
Also
Ariel is a mermaid
Elsa has ice magic
Snow White talks to animals
Belle befriended a beast and turned him good
Mulan has a dragon as a friend
Rapunzel has magic hair
Tiana turned into a frog
Jasmine has a flying carpet and befriended a genie
I mean reality in Disney princesses can tend to be non existent-
No hate tho

I mean I think bells waist is pretty normal idk if it's just me but I'm on a swim team and its probably cause we all eat healthy and have to constantly work out but all of us girls are pretty slim I mean the biggest waist size was a size 28 and the smallest was a 22 it is a cartoon and some people might be offended by it but it what people like to see

Some people really don't realize how cartoons can influence a child's perception. I know it doesn't happen to everyone, but it can be really serious.
.
(Also, all the ladies in this video are very gorgeous, especially the one upset that she wasn't as hot as Jasmine.

So i get that they wanted to show the princesses with more natural looks and i love it, but for example if we take Belle or Cinderella, they are probably wearing corsets right? So for them (and them only) is actually a realistic look based on what they are wearing

No. Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty were the only Disney princesses around when I grew up and that was back in the days where the movies returned to the big screen once every so many years before video copies were sold.

I'm quite skinny and I don't look like that Elsa at all. If I hold in my tummy, I look like her photoshopped version. (I have an Elsa gown, or at least, the corset-part)
