If your response to this video is to push lies that have already been debunked about the only female, Black, and South Asian Vice President elect or to doubt the impact that this has on women of color, of ALL ages, then seek help and move along.
If you re unfamiliar with the VP-elect and have read some things written by the trolls here, I beg you to do your own research from fair sources, pro tip: look at contemporaneous accounts of her past work and you ll notice when efforts to derail her career began.

Don't know where this got linked from to get this many downvoted but y'all can't even let WOC have one DAMN moment in the sun to celebrate? Worried that Harris will support policies you dislike? Fine, protest, organize, do it all. But maybe don't come to a video of women and CHILDREN seeing themselves represented for the first time in the VP position and tell them that it doesn't really count and they're wrong if they're happy. They will see these comments, have just a modicum of respect, please.

Why does everything have to ve about race?
It doesn't matter that that person of colour got VP or that shes a woman.
What matters is her qualifications.
Look at her as a competent inteligent woman instead of just oh shes black nice.
This why America has such a big race problem. You divide everything into race.
And I'm not saying this to buzzfeed specifically or people of colour i am saying this to everyone.

She will b a truly wonderful Vice President - she represents needed diversity, but more importantly, she is intelligent, respectable. She is someone who we can look up to as a role model. I don t say this about a lot of women these days, as most don t deserve it. I can heartily say she truly does. She compliments joe perfectly. I don t care what naysayers might say, I have hope for the next 4 years. Anything better than what we ve had is a start!

White women reacts to (X) I'm so glad someone that looks like me is vice president. women are marginalized because they marginalize themselves believing false statements proposed by media. Kamala Harris is not the first person of color to have been vice president, idk why they keep selling that, there is one fact to my point that the media gives us false information that many times are flat out lies.

I acknowledge the racial barriers she broke but it doesn t grant her immunity for her record. As a woman of color, I am pretty skeptical of her record. She refused to prosecute Steve Munichin s bank for mortgage fraud because he donated to her campaign and she prosecuted poc for minimal offenses given scanty details. I applaud the history but I am still skeptical. Skinfolk ain t kinfolk.

I could go as far as say that Joe Biden won because of his choosing of Kamala Harris as VP. Or not. I don't really know US politics, after all. But finally having a woman in a historically men's club is huge on its own, add to that a woman of color is something that greatly resonates to every society around the world. Something good has finally come out of 2020.

Have you guys seen her interview with her saying she supports prostitution! That's disgusting, Biden could have done better! What kind of roll model is that, woman are being abused and child trafficking is going on, and the government could never control prostitution if they made it legal, it would get more out of hand. She is no person to look up too!

I personally classify myself as a person of colour (being half Chinese, half White, even though I am not a women, I am extremely happy when I heard that Harris became the first Black VP, the first Asian VP, and the first female VP. She will be an inspiration for many Black, Asian, Multiracial people, and women to hopefully run for presidency and win.
