The fourth wall breaks aren't cause he's a mutant, they're cause he's crazy. Other insane characters in the marvel universe are aware that they're in comic books too. Deadpool just is more vocal about it.

I am willing to bet that you found out that it took a very long time. Lol. Im pretty sure that they had a ton of mistakes in this movie. I saw at least 4 and I was barely paying attention to everything.
