Personally, I like to think that Tiamut chose to be turned to Stone. Well, not to stone exactly. But I think he chose to stop the emergence because he understood Cersi's love for humanity and decided they deserved to live.
The only evidence I have to back up my claim is Tiamut giving Cersi access to the power that enables her to kill him. Cersi was already turning Tiamut to marble, and as a Celestial, he must have some form of awareness as he emerges and even prior to that. So he must have known that Cersi was trying to stop him, but she did not have enough power to do so. But once he joined the uni-mind, Cersi finally had enough power to turn him fully into marble. He aided in his death, so he must have agreed in some form with Cersi, that humanity deserved to live.

The part where Ajak says she wants to stop the emerges because of what happened with the avengers should have been the reason why she should promote the emerges, If a hundred thousand of years is all it took to forge the avenger, push a species toward evolution, and revolutions, the Celestial emerging could creat worls much better than that, considering he fact that the Avengers are off theeir prime, unless maybe its just parting gift for bringing back people who were snapped out.

Never hated Marvel movies. I don't really care about the plots, cgi, or anything. If you like Avengers, it's already a -must- to you for watch and enjoy every single movie of it. It more become a value than just to criticize a single movie. Cuz it's part of a whole. A reality to accept. There is no reality without a disappointment or negativity. I think people just too much focus on perfections, biases, hopes, or imajinations and forget the beauty of reality.

I agree the explanation for Ajax turn feels like it does fall but I dont think its for the reason mentioned. When they undid the snap they saved the other half of the population for the whole universe so it wouldn't really be about living among them and realizing how much it meant to the humans. Its the actions of the humans versus everyone else in the galaxy that she thought was worth saving

Actually, in Number 9: When Tiamut was connected to the Eternals through the Overmind, Sersi says (after he freezes) that she felt Tiamut's mind, and that he -sacrificed himself- to save the planet. Which means that the Eternal's love of humanity (felt by Tiamut through the Overmind) caused Tiamut to kill himself to avoid destroying the planet and killing all of humanity.

Another detail is why Ajak changed her mind because of the reversed snap is because Thanos saved them by cutting half the population for the celestial in earth to not evolve and grow, meaning Thanos is the real hero in the MCU. He cut half the population to save the universe, meaning the avengers are the real villains for stopping Thanos.

I believe that's intentional with sersi and ikarus, they were together at first because they were both eligible eternals and found a surface attraction there, but over time they drift because sersi truly loves humanity while ikarus is only concerned with their mission
