Thor: Love and Thunder Is Not A Good Movie! He missed 2 parallels. First, when Thor was in the vault of eternity, him getting saved by a thrown mjolnir from Jane was just like in endgame when cap threw mjolnir to save him (both times almost getting stabbed thru chest. Second, instead of raising storm breaker like Thor does to summon the bifrost, Axel places it on the ground like a staff, just like how heimdall placed the sword in the slot of the machine bifrost.

The reason I am not enjoying Marvel phase 4 in general like phase 1-3 is because each project feels way too independent from others and doesn't, but not in a good way, let me explain.
The infinity saga was building it all up with an idea, that the world is much bigger than what we saw in Iron Man, this was literally the introduction of Nick Fury. In endgame they literally opened endless possibilities for themselves and connected all the characters in various ways, but then. they wasted this whole idea. This is a call back to Peter asking Fury where the hell all the other characters are. The answer is: unavailable, and it's so frustrating that we can ask this question in every movie now. Don't get me wrong, many individual projects like Loki, moon knight, and Shang Chi worked so well because they took completely new characters and put them into new environment where there's no chance of meeting with other main MCU characters (we can consider Loki a new character because he is not our Loki, but a variant. Thus this movies are able to surprise us with amazing new characters. Movies like DS MoM however are desperately trying to promote itself with claims of pushing MCU to the next level, cameos which were predicted 1 month before the movie and characters from previous movies which got so wasted like Mordo, for example. Even what if did a better job of showing us what the multiverse is.
However, they did a great job at developing some of the characters in series like WandaVision and Falcon and WS, but it was done over 4 hours of screen time, not an action movie like doctor strange where they made it a big deal with Christine in the beginning, but came back to it only in the end, and then threw it away instantly. I love you is a sweet phrase, but I still have no idea why Strange actually loved Christine apart from her giving him an expensive watch. And there's a ton of stuff like this with characters development, in Thor as well. Marvel connect the dots between characters, stop making even more plot holes like in Eternals, it only confuses us. We are just going in circles with so many unrelated stories which happen simultaneously without being leaving any trace behind. How are they planning to fit Celestials, the dark dimension, Kang and MCU version of the suicide squad into a global plot?

I feel both MoM and Thor could have been more than what was presented. A little dark theme with more backstory with some of the characters could have added more impact to the overall storyline. It would have been even better if it was a series, giving more time to Gorr on one side and Thor with Jane on the other and leading them to investigate the butchering of the gods and finally having them battle Gorr in the season finale. So far in this phase, I am getting a feeling that they are rushing through the project and they are more interested in setting up future movies/series or characters rather than focusing on the present movies or characters. Hopefully, we will have a little bit of a lengthier runtime with a more fleshed-out story and characters in the upcoming movies.

For a god-butchering movie (according to my point of view) this is such a huge waste.
The movie is so fast-paced that it lack of character development for Gorr.
1. They didn't show Gorr's pain and suffering much longer in the first scene, hence we can barely feel what he felt;
2. We can't see more of Gorr's sequence where he's slaughtering other gods, making him less intimidating.
And tbh, Korg's existence seems unnecessary to be in the whole film. He doesn't affect the movie's storyline, so why would you put him in there!

I believe MARVEL does listen to the fans still. However, I also believe that Disney is throwing their weight into these movies even more now. And that will sorely affect the MCU in the long run. I love the MCU, but it s just not been the same since Endgame. I know they have to build up again because the Infinity Saga is finished. I hope I m wrong. It ll be really interesting to see what Black Panther is like. If it s fast paced and tries to be too funny etc. The Infinity Saga was something truly special. The cast, the stories etc.

Imagine if Zack Snyder directed this movie. I didn't like the fact that they took 2 dark and sad storylines, combined them to make a comedy movie. I just hope if there is a chance of undoing this mess. Probably like the case of BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. I just want to see a better version of Gorr the God Butcher. PROBABLY BY ADDING FEW ADDITIONAL CLIPS TO THE MOVIE AND MAKING A EXTENDED CUT OF THE MOVIE.

When she whispered to Thor at the end. That just seemes like a trop that happens all the time usually in finales where speculation can run wild. I like it. Its like their own little personal moment that they both share and we the audience get to experience the meaningfulness to Thor but not necessarily know what it was.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. My only complaint is that there should have been more screen time with Gorr. We should have had at least 1 or 2 more scenes of Gorr hunting and killings gods. The film didn't convey how much of a threat Gorr could be. The film needed those extra scenes with the villain.

That was so great seeing Hercules. I've wanted to see that rivalry between him and Thor play out since the first Thor movie launched. On a different subject, I find it pretty ironic that Zeus now hates Thor so much even though he just saved every single god in the universe lol.
